Sex,death and money
just wondering what other people think of this song...to me it sounds too much like trying to be "hip" and cool. Now Im sure thats not the case cos Alice is a legend and he knows it but that song just doesnt hit it for me personally.

Re: Sex,death and money
Great intro, especially when it was done live on the Dragontown tour.

I love the industrial sound of the song. It's one of my favourites from Dragontown.

Re: Sex,death and money
I like it a lot. I agree with what's already been said, one of the best songs on the album.

I think he was trying to go for a more hip and cool song to show the degration of society showing the type of style rappers/hip hop artists are using such as sexual themes in their music and what is going on in society. It's a perfect "attitude song" for the album and really shows his diversity as an artist.

By far the best song on Dragontown for me, though I do like the whole album very much.

Re: Sex,death and money
I think sex, death and money are classic areas that Alice has featured for years..think back to Billion Dollar Babies..so to me hes doing a revisit to old subjects-don't think hes tryin to be cool..he just is! I like the track but not the album in total and in some ways reminds me of Make that Money (Zipper I think)..yep good track for me

Re: Sex,death and money
Lyrically, I am not sure how this would be attempt to be hip and cool. This is Alice with some of his sharpest wit. At the same time complaining about the common vices, while striking down the many who complain about them.

Excellent track, not his best album, but Deeper stands out as well.
Anything I say or write is my own personal opinion, no matter who agrees or disagrees with me.
Re: Sex,death and money
It was more the flow of the song and style of music I was referring to rather than the lyrics

Also one one of my favourites on that album. It's so danceable
I really love the first 4 or 5 songs on that album, then it kind of goes in all directions. I'm not sure I always follow.
