Orianthi To Continue Playing With Alice After Tour ?

I was just listening to the interview with Nikki Sixx and Alice said Orianthi didn't write with him on this album but will next time. I would love to see her stay with the band, at least until the Nightmare 2 tour

Of course I'm pretty sure Alice will keep her in the band. Alice doesn't usually just hire people as temporary band members. He hires them(band members) as full-time members not temporary members. He did that hired Chuck Garric at first temporary and he lasted in the band for 8 yrs and counting so far. So that should tell you your answer to your question right there.

Really? I think hiring Orianthi is a bit different situation than most band members Alice has hired.

How many of Alice's guitarists have gotten billed on the tonight show similar to "Alice Cooper featuring Orianthi"?

I don't think anyone can be so sure about anything other than her finishing the tour until we hear it from Alice or management.

She was also working on recording her own new album right before she joined up with Alice. So, she may have tour plans for that.

Seems to me like her staying on, or her leaving after December, are both perfectly valid options.

While she IS a great guitar player, I could care less if she continues on with Alice or not. Not trying to bring her down or anything. I'll just wait and see.

She was OK in Auckland, nothing amazing imo, i mean she only played the basic riffs all night, no solos etc, anyone could do that.

From the clips seen so far, certainly not the stage presence that Damon or Ryan had.
But maybe seeing her live would be different?
Mind you, I'm not sure that Steve Hunter has anything to offer stage presence-wise either.

Me too (from what I've seen from the videos...)
Chewing gum, just standing there like she don't care... Like she's bored... Don't like that. ::((:

I am willing to give her a chance of developing into an entertainer, but there is a huge void in the show with Keri and Damon gone that even a ridiculous 12 foot Frankenstein can't fill. Orianthi needs to be more than just another promotional gimmick. She and Steve need to to show some life and do some shredding or the show is deader than Cold Ethyl. Chuck is great but can only do so much between two statues.

Steve may not move about much but thats not his fault, he cant see too well. But the talent this man has, his playing brings a whole new dimension to the show and as much as i love Damon and Keri give me the Deacon any day!!!

exactly my summary after the gig, she looked like someone going through the motions. even looked awkward for her when Alice rubbed ethyl in her face, she didn't seem too impressed lol.

Think Alice needs to let her take a few solos instead of a set full off basic riffs.

Steve was flawless in his playing, you don't need to move much to have a great stage presence and he does that with the way he plays that guitar.

After seing some video of the 22th show, I really dont like her entertainment and her solo parts... But, I think she also needs several shows to fit more in the band, that's normal.

LOL! Would love to see THAT! Ha

I don't mind Steve not moving around that much. It's Steve, so that's enough for me!

So Orianthi is not playing any solos? Steve is playing all solos in the show now?

Two of the 3 guitarists are playing nothing but rhythm now?

Looking at YouTube video, I see she has some sort of extended solo here before OWB:
