What do you think of Flatline?

Post by GailsFriend » Thu Sep 15, 2011 11:52 pm

Obviously, this will be for the vinyl release people...but, I read on Facebook that "flatline" was "really creepy"...

who wrote it?
performed on it?
does it fit into the storyline of W2MN and where?
lyrics?
"What part of DEAD don't you get?"

Well I have listened to it and its nothing more than a series of "beep...beep...beep...beep" for a bit...then the flatlining noise...then at the very end..Steven and that is it...so since he is dead, I guess this is the actual loss of his life?

If that's the case it should be placed right after I gotta get outta here..or maybe before it. Depending if anyone wants to hear a flatline that long before the next track. It sounds like it would merge perfectly into or after the underture!

Sounds to me like it would be the absolute last track or before "Underture".

From the sounds of it, it should go after "Caffeine" since he's not entering a nightmare, he's dying.

I actually think the idea is quite brilliant.

A bit disappointing that despite the coupon for a free mp3 download of what is described as "All tracks from this double-lp", when you put the code in, flatline isn't on the list.

I guess before buying I knew that would be the case, so not disappointed with what is a good item to add to the collection.

Where does it say that?

On the coupon you get with a code to input on the website. It is a direct quote, however, I did get our very old record player to work so have heard it, and to be honest, I don't think I need to hear it again.

That is interesting because that isn't what it says at http://alicecooper.com/w2mn-international and there shouldn't be any difference.

My Universal Vinyl that just arrived as no voucher to download anything, unless I'm missing something.
Doesn`t matter to me persaonlly, just saying.

A little dispointed that the poster in the vinyl is so small. Same as the one in the digipack. Given the size of vinyl packaging I was expecting it to be rather larger.

It says a full download of of the album one could argue that just means the main 14 tracks.

Anyway was the UK version in Blood Red? as the US version is black vinyl.

AH, I just found mine (now I know what to look for. It's completely stuck inside the middle spine of the sleeve INSIDE where the vinyl is! If I hadn`t really pulled everything apart I'd have never have spotted it!

USA got screwed on the vinyl. Is it still 180gram or is that exclusive to Europe as well? My vinyl should be arriving tonight, but I'd like to temper my disappointment.

When I looked at the Backtoblackvinyl.com site, they have screen shots of the inside artwork....and Flatline is the last song on the last side....but there is no lyrics for the song shown...and the song is 3:25 long.

LOL fantastic.

I couldn't care less about the mp3s or the color of the vinyl, but if the US vinyl isn't 180gram, I'll be building a house of fire over at Universal.
