Funny thing is, they are shrinking their CD section which means Alice doesn't even have a tab any more. They just put the stack of W2MN under the generic "C" section.
Mine had a noticeably smaller CD area, still had a Coop tab, and I'd say about 10 copies of W2MN.

Mine best buy has it in stock, though I don't know how many. Perhaps I'll buy them out and make a fortune on ebay.

I got mine at Best Buy Tues. I didn't count how many they had..I usually do but I was in a hurry that day and also in a hurry to get in the car and hear "Under The Bed" for the first time.

Don't discount Amazon sales either. They should help.

I'm not sure how many they had originally (at least six), but my Best Buy is sold out of W2MN, too.

Not surprising actually and has some big value for thrash fans since it's the return of Joey Belladonna (and I'm sure Anthrax benefitted from the Big 4 thing.) Good for them.
This is my thought too; Anthrax is at a much more opportune moment in their career so to speak, with their "classic" singer back. I've heard a lot of people who abandoned the thrash scene in the late 80's/early 90's genuinely excited about Worship Music, and it's getting great reviews on top of that. Not to mention Anthrax fans have beens starved for new material since '03, whereas Alice put out ACAS just over 3 years ago. By the same token, 20,000 does seem a little low for Alice anyways.

I'm glad for Anthrax anyhow, they've always been the "little guys" of the Big 4, and they're finally starting to get some of the respect they deserve. I've met all of the guys in the band once and I know Joey really well, so it's great to see things taking off for them again.

20,000 is actually over twice what "ACAS" in its first week. That's actually high for Alice in the past decade worth of sales. Brutal Planet through DD all had 6,000 sold its first week in the U.S.

Also keep in mind the declivity of record sales every year. 20k in 2011 might be akin to 30k back in '08 when ACAS came out.

proof positive....using the metal band Trivium as example

year album units sold album debut on Billboard
2006 "The Crusade" 31thousand #25
2008 "Shogun" 24 thousand #23
2011 "In Waves" 22thousand #13

I think using Alice's measuring stick for success, which he has said is how do his fans like it?,this album has already done quite well. IMO the 14 tracks went by like it was all of 5 minutes long.

It's also good that in an industry of declining sales that Alice is swimming against the current and sales are up. I honestly attribute much of the success (so far) of this album and the last album to social media, which is giving Alice the attention that a lot of mainstream media wasn't necessarily giving him 10 years ago.

absolutely. let's take those promos for ACAS a few years ago for example-that totally built anticipation for the album...hearing this new album,I feel like the bar is once again raised. very in love with the new nightmare!

I agree! Each track went by way too fast and I couldn't believe I was already on the 16th track with the 2 extra bonus ones. I listened to Ozzy's No More Tears right after and it seemed to go by so much slower. The difference is that all the tracks were 4-7 minutes long rather than 3-4 but the length of the album was pretty much the same as W2MN.

I can't wait to add Under The Bed to the tracklist and make it 17 tracks and over an hour long!

I hope the initial sales are good enough to encourage AC to produce videos or animation to keep the sales going...think this album lends itself to such furthe promotion...trash benefited from vids of poison, Bed o Nsils, House of Fire..so heres hoping...
