Classic Rock pack

Post by KISS_44 » Mon Sep 12, 2011 8:34 pm

I still have not gotten mine and I pre-ordered it Aug. 1

Anyone else in the states not receive theirs either? If I would have known that I would not get it before the album is out, I would not have wasted my money

Correct, it's not officially out til tomorrow, but that's the point of the fan pack, people who buy it, get it early.

Have you considered that maybe the postman doesn't have bionic legs so is incapable of delivering it in 1 day?

Here, in case you don't quite understand:
"Fans who buy the Alice Cooper Fan Pack be able to hear Welcome 2 My Nightmare weeks before it hits the shelves in record stores."

I think that only applies to the u.k. They get the official album released in october...4 weeks after.
But everywhere else gets it tmrw. Its kinda screwy marketing but it happens :/

But you live in the US, the fanpack is a UK promotion.

people have gotten it early in the states as well.
Another board that I am mainly apart of has reported many people getting it last week and some even 2 weeks ago and they are all from the states

Whatever mate....it's still nonsense that they received the fanpack 2 weeks ago.

They may have 'acquired' the album 2 weeks ago, but they certainly did not get the fanpack then.

Anyway, I have not received mine yet either though, although I know somebody who got it last Monday. It's a bummer, but hopefully it will get to both of us soon.

One of these days I will open that mailbox and be happy that it is finally here! :8):

Some useful information if you ordered from Future Publishing:

Pre-order Shipping Information:

UK Pre-orders are sent via our standard delivery service (estimated delivery 3-5 days from time of dispatch). All items will be dispatched by the specified release date (provided stock has been received). We aim to deliver pre-order items by the release date. However, please note, occasional unforeseen delays at production, mean we are unable to guarantee a specific date of delivery.

Overseas Pre-orders are sent via 'DHL Priority Airmail' service. Estimated delivery time: 7-10 days from time of dispatch. We aim to dispatch all overseas pre-order items by the release date. However, please note, due to occasional unforeseen delays at production, we are unable to guarantee a specific date of delivery.

WHW is correct. No one had it two weeks ago. In fact I don`t think it even existed in compeleted form two weeks ago as the magazine was still going to the printing presses (according to what a contributor to the magazine told me).
The first copies of the fan pack started arriving last Friday in the UK. It would obviously take longer to get to the US. If your friends are saying they recieved their fan packs two weeks ago, sorry, but I can't see how that is possible, it didn`t exist. They more likely downloaded the album illegally.

As has been said the fanpack is a UK promotion, and the album was due to be released in October. Since then various release dates have been shifted forwards, notably the US release date which was brought forward twice and ended up being tomorrow. The UK date the standard album I believe is still due in October so the fan pack IS a month before that, it's just no longer a month before the release in other formats and parts of the world.

That's correct, i live and work right next to Future Publishing in Bath and am good friends with someone who worked on this fanpack.... they were still editing the content of the fanpack until about 10 days ago.

That is nonsense since at that time, the editor and I were still discussing the contents and that was before it had even been printed. You are being lied to.

Got mine, wasted far to much time searching for my name on poster finally found it,liked the package very much, the only moan I have is trying to read the liner notes on the album not the best choice of colour text for the background, perhaps the vinyl issue will be larger and easier to read,I know it`s a sad thing, but I always like to see who has done what

:nono:
It must be true A_Michael said so
