I didnt know the ballad on the album was written a long time ago. I thought I've read in a Dick Wagner interview tha the made the effort to write the best he could to make it a hit, in the present time and if I remember correctly he didnt talk about composing it before now.
But what an amazing musician Alice is... the logic in the album is perfect.

So was Runaway Train a rewrite of Subway on the DDP album Bones From The Yard?
interesting the Druming elements still seem to be there otherwise all else is different

Every time I listen to "I'll Bite Your Face Off"...I keep imagining The Exorcist..when Regan turns her head completely around. Do you get the same mental picture?

It has been suggested and Alice is a big fan of the song. Maybe you could PM Dennis and find out his take on it. It definitely has a similar vibe. I prefer it to Dennis's song.

It's basically the same song with different lyrics and a few bits removed.

They say it was a reworking of the Song. Hearing all of them it really seems to help tie all the tracks together. I do wonder what Ke$ha's first set of Lyrics where like. Said to be a bit to much at first

To Homerx....
why you say that Ke$ha's lyrics were too much? Because their lenght or because the content itself?

During the What Baby Wants description Alice talks about how they had to water down her first set of lyrics. So I wonder if they were darker or just not quite there.

Probably overtly sexual. That's my assumption.

I read this in (I believe) the press release and thought of it when I first heard Ke$ha sing, "I'm gonna drain your veins and bathe in your blood." I assume she wrote that line.

not me.... I relate the theme to some sexual attack or something like that... but it's a cool thought what you experience.

Excellent narrative of the logic behind the songs and their sequence on the album. This just made the album much more enjoyable for me even though I have yet to hear it in its entirety.

The production by Ezrin is absolutely fantastic. Reminds me a bit of From the Inside in this respect. Do you think that since Along Came a Spider wasn't quite "up to snuff" so to speak, they made an extra effort to put this one outta the ballpark?

Odd since Ezrin didn't produce FTI.

Pitkin88...that is odd isn't it

Got to admit that although it isn't Bob's production it does have similar qualities....do you think?

BTW who did produce FTI? .... I always assumed that Ezrin was producing up till ZCS.
Guess I need to read the credits better. ::((:

Well it's too bad there's not some sort of website dedicated to all things Alice that might have that information...

I don't think anybody else did either, so don't worry about it.

Very interesting in it full form. runs about 35 min. Just Alice talking about all the songs. really gives a inside look to them as well as answer many questions some may have
