W2MN Vinyl - RECEIVED!

My record store received our copies of W2MN on LP and CD today! The US version of the LP is on black vinyl and does not include a digital download (at least not one in my copy).

The gatefold sleeve and layout looks amazing! Nice book inside too! The pics of the front cover on the internet just don't do it justice. Oh yeah, and it sounds great!

I was aware of a lot of the guests on it, didn't know John 5 was on DBBF. Kip Winger does backing vocals on a few tracks and not to mention that (one of my personal faves) Mark Volman, of The Turtles, is on GGW. Glad to see Chuck Garric made it on IGGOH.

I thought so too, maybe the UK edition will be on Red vinyl?

"Flatline" is barely a song. It's exactly what the title suggests. 3min and 29 secs of bip bip bip bip beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, with a little keyboard thing in the background. Would have been nice to have the other bonus tracks on the 4th side of the LP.

Agreed, especially since Flatline is the only track on side 4 or as the LP says "2B".

Thanks for the heads up on Flatline. Kinda a relief now that i wont lose any sleep not having the song as it sounds from your description pretty pointless in my opinion.

Why would they record such a pointless song for the vinyl? That's not Alice's style at all. I thought it would be something like a bad situation. Flatline immediately made me think "country" when I first heard it for some reason.

There is a lot of dead wax on that side. It is kind of an avant garde track. It ends with a low voice saying "Steven".

I got this today as well. Very Impressive Booklet. Sounds good. Flatline really isn't a song just a beeping into a flatline kinda odd really. Ripped it though for CD playback

Nice in blood red colour and a coupon for the download of the whole vinyl on mp3. So Flatline is also on mp3.

easiest was is to go from the Amplifer or Preamp out to one of those headphone converters. RCA ro Headphone jack. Use a program like audiacity which is free.

There is another collector's version of the album in blood red, ordered individually, with a coupon for download from iTunes. At least that is the only red vinyl I found. Want to get that one!
