I dig Ferguson too! I like his comedy. Conan's show is still my fave. Either way AC on TV is good for me!

Ferguson just seems to have a good rapport with any guest, which leads to a fun conversation/segment.departmentofyouth wrote:I dig Ferguson too! I like his comedy. Conan's show is still my fave. Either way AC on TV is good for me!
Conan, I haven't watched once since he went to TBS.
And yes, agreed! There are certainly TV shows I've never watched at all, until Alice or a few others were on them...i.e. Joy Behar.

Not sure that's quite correct. He's certainly been on Fergusson a ton of times, but wasn`t he only on Leno once, earlier this year (with Dweezil), and before that it was 1997?NotSoPerfect wrote:Well....Leno, Letterman, and Ferguson have all had Alice on (multiple times, I'm pretty sure...I know Leno and Ferguson have had him on fairly regularly in the last 5 years.)
Feel free to correct me if I have missed some.

Oh, I'm sure you're right.
And now that I think about it again, I'm 99% sure that one of the performances I pictured in my head as Leno was actually another Ferguson appearance.

I'd like to see him on Jimmy Fallon. Fallon has a ton of fun with his guests. He'd be great as a regular guest, but would also be fine just as musical guest or even sitting in with The Roots to do multiple songs in and out of breaks.

That would be mega-cool.ConstrictorRules wrote:I'd like to see him on Jimmy Fallon. Fallon has a ton of fun with his guests. He'd be great as a regular guest, but would also be fine just as musical guest or even sitting in with The Roots to do multiple songs in and out of breaks.

I was listening to the Boneyard on Sirius Radio and they said Alice will be playing IBYFO on Leno

Oh I kinda saw that one coming.
Honestly, I don't think Conan really digs Alice's music. Perhaps that's one reason why Alice has never performed on Conan.
Conan sucks nowadays after moving to TBS. Same old crap day after day. So fake. Loved his NY shows.

Alice and the band looked and sounded great on Leno!

The band was extremely tight. Alice's vocals and range seemed a little off. I think he almost always has problems getting his voice right in these kind of appearances.

Alice was indeed great on Leno highlight of the show and seeing Alice on Jimmy Fallon would be cool he is a big music fan he had Yngwie Malmsteen and the Roots on the same broadcast some months ago

I'm sure I'll catch hell for this opinion, but hey, it's mine and it's honest.
So far, I'm really not impressed with Orianthi. Yes, the girl has chops for miles, no question. She's a stupidly talented guitarist. But she was about as exciting to watch play tonight as watching paint dry. No personality, no chemistry at all with the other members, nothing. Just chewed her gum and looked bored to be there.
I realize that she's the newbie in a relatively established group of musicians, so who knows - perhaps it was nothing more than opening night jitters. She may very well "warm up" as the shows go on and she finds her footing within the group dynamic. Perhaps within the context of an entire concert she's a little more involved and lively.
But just based on tonight - I didn't dig it.

I have to agree with the above, Alice's voice was too gravely and shouty. For this song to be the Stone's tribute that Alice say's it is his vocal needs to be a bit smoother.

Thanks for the link James1981! I already saved the video on my computer.
The band looks great, nice line-up!
I also find Orianthi's not very expressive but looking at many videos with her, I have the feeling it's the way she usually is and it has nothing to do with boring or so.
