Don't know if I am 'expecting' more songs live from the new album, but I am certainly hoping for some. Caffeine would be great. After a year on the road playing more or less the same set list the band might want to freshen things up a bit, they are playing smaller venues instead of large festivals so presumably things will need to be changed a bit, I assume that there will be more of a halloween/horror theme on the upcoming tour and lastly it would be a good way to try out some of the new material out live before the new tour. So yes I am hoping that they play more than just IBYFO. Plus Alice will need to get rid of the new song, shirt by then.Si wrote:Appart from the song already in the show why do you expect more to be added? Doesn't sound like too much of the new album is going to make it onto the October set list.

It will only have been five months by the time the October shows happen.

That is a good point.

Re: Alice not ruling out Nightmare 3
Nightmare 3 ? ....Based on the few full tracks i've heard , and the 90sec samples of the rest of the new album , I would certainly welcome that .
Despite enjoying all the recent albums to varying degrees , the sheer quality of writing , performance and production of Nightmare2 would appear to be astounding ...from the wonderful melodies (eg-I'm Shaking in the ice cold shower ) to Alice's magnificent Dylanesque vocal on Runaway Train , it seems like it is the Alice album i've been waiting a long time for ....
Nightmare 3 ? Yeah ........But who knows , he might come up with something even better .

So is it confirmed that the W2MN tour will start in 2012?

I always thought that track was just put in there for Steven to make a tease apperance before the last temptation. Hey Stoopid never came across as a true "concept" album for me since there was a bunch of completely different track titles like Hurricane Years and Snakebite. It connects more with Trash than it does with the Steven concept.

i don't think Hey Stoopid was trying to be a concept album though.
Re: Alice not ruling out Nightmare 3
He could do Nightmare 3 at 98. Why not 2046.
In any event it is to early to start thinking Of the next album when the New album hasn't even hit shelves

I agree. Alice seems to do albums in couples most of the time so Hey Stoopid was just a follow up even though it has more conceptual traits than Trash did.

I didn't realise that that was what you meant. All you wrote was "Maybe bridge the gap between The Last Temptation and Goes to Hell since there wasn't really a "Steven concept" between those 2 albums". It seemed like you had forgotten that Steven did indeed make an appearance, albeit briefly as you point out.

Sorry about that. A song pertaining to Steven may have been there but a concept about him throughout an entire album wasn't there between those 2. Thats why a first temptation would be cool as a prequel leading up to what Steven got involved in during the last temptation.

"Do an album with the original band and call it ReCooperated...."
I have an old Circus magazine (ca. 1975) where Dennis Dunaway makes that suggestion.

Wasn't there supposed to be a third instalment to Brutal Planet?
Anything I say or write is my own personal opinion, no matter who agrees or disagrees with me.

It was mentioned but I don't know how serious he was about it.

Re: Alice not ruling out Nightmare 3
I asked Alice about this and he told me that he had originally planned a third album which was based upon the concept of repentance and Heaven. However he said that Dragontown took everyone to Hell and he thought he would just leave them there!A_MichaelUK wrote:>Wasn't there supposed to be a third instalment to Brutal Planet?

Got a synthetic face, got some scars and a brace...
Re: Alice not ruling out Nightmare 3
And frankly, Dragontown was enough. Anything past that would be beating a dead horse.
