The Congregation

Post by rgallie » Mon Aug 22, 2011 7:50 pm

Not an important thread but just wondered if anyone else thinks its sounds like a song from the should have been on the last oasis album lol.

Sounds like Liam Gallagher singing to me and the beat feels like Noel wrote it.

DOES NOBODY READ ANY OF THE PREVIOUS THREADS?! This is the fourth or fifth time this has been mentioned.

If you're going to make a joke, at least try harder. The song in question was only heard for the first time three days ago, so your "going back years" comment is especially without wit.

Doesn't it suck having lives and not being able to check every single thread that has been posted, before making a comment...must be nice to sit here all day and read every thread that has ever been written...yeesh

Well said Tommy and eh oh you got me there Andy ha ha, when I first heard the song I thought that it sounded like a solo John lennon song, which, lets be honest, is what most of the Oasis catalogue sounds like.

it's quite simple to use that search thing on top. At the right site of General Discussion.

You don't even have to do that for the reasons I gave.

I think it's more a case of 'I am the Alice oracle and who wants an argument with it??', rather than 'I have no life' really - although, the two are NOT mutually exclusive of course.

Even by your standards, that's silly. It has nothing to be with being an "oracle". You KNOW what this is about and by the way, it was pointed out to me that one other very famous Alice Cooper forum was shut down by the owner partly because people kept repeatedly rehashing old threads and since the owner of THIS board recently asked someone to check a previous thread, I'm assuming that you, dadascot, tommystooge, Model Citizen and others don't want the same to happen to this board as well.

Dear oh dear, here we go again Andy, I was, very obviously, being ironic at your VERY weak retort. As you said 'the owner' shut it down. You are not the owner. As has been said by several people before (Andy you really should read previous threads, by the way that's more irony!) there are cross-over subjects, and discussing more fully the Oasis/lennon/Beatles sound is, in my opinion, a valid new thread!

Since it is something that is giving you sleepless nights perhaps you should put this to the moderator to decide if you are correct in getting so upset or whether everyone else on the site who thinks it is not such a big deal and reasonable to discuss similar subjects on different threads have a point. Of perhaps you could just take the advice given to you and chill out a bit.

I wasn't referring to you Gunner, and I agree enough has been said, let's get back to the subject of the song, Congregation. No matter who it sounds like I think it is an excellent song and I do like the smoother vocal on it.

Yes what I've heard so far an excellent song and I like the Oasis feel of it.

This site may be free for you, but it isn't free for me.. We are the ones who have to pay for it. I don't mind people posting whatever they want but when its repeated constantly in a number of threads you are just wasting my money and I find it very selfish.

We have asked if new people can look though previous topics before posting. I don't think that's unfair. We have also asked if members could use the search box to find a relevant topic before they post a new one.

This is an expensive site to run...
