Are they still going to have the "Over-the-Top-Fan Award this year? Or did they change the name of that to the "Alternate Reality" Fan Award? I think anyone who spends a heavy amount of time FINDING Alice Cooper reviews should be nominated!

Hey GNDM! You would be surprised to know that I spent an entire week in Ohio...with friends and family. I spent the whole week without a computer and barely listened to my iPod.

So, I didn't look up any reviews, post anything on STUK, and I didn't listen to W2MN, actually for a whole week.
I went to King's Island, picked up fallen walnuts, had dinner with friends and family, and went to the Cincinnati Art Museum. The weather was beautiful because the trees were changing in their Autumn colors. I was able to make some artwork....I drew a self portrait and another, of my Aunt's two kitties. I saw 2 movies, The Ides of March, and Real Steel.

I think it is sweet that you were thinking of me enough to nominated me for the "Most Amazing Alice Cooper Fan Award"....I am glad my name is in your head from time to time.

Thank you, GNDM.

P.S.:

The Blood Red Vinyl is by far the best version on. Vinyl. Not only is it thicker Blood Red. It also comes with the full album in 320kbps MP3. This now includes Flatline. Something I've been having a heck of a time getting the perfect recording of. I was close with the Blood Red Version but still had a few issues. A cleaning should fix that. But Now with the Mp3 there is no need to.

So when I have time I shall make the Ultimate disc version. Just wish A Bad Situation was in a Higher quality 160kbps is a joke. Could Happen as It only seems to be on US Itunes. Which opens up other areas to being able to put it out in a higher quality. 320kbps is a amust nowa days.

Yep....for the people who "don't like the album....hate the album...etc."

it's unfortunate to be a part of the minority.....just imagine being in a sea of happy, ecstatic Alice Cooper fans and there is just one or two who still don't like the album......how sad, they have to wait for the next album....in a few years.

I just can't relate. Just....so.....sad. :(

Here is a group of reviews....showing both sides of the discussion. Take a look at the difference in the content...the positives talking about "Bob Ezrin, Steve Hunter, production..."

and the negatives talking about "Kesha, Auto Tune, Disco,...".

My favorite Alice album in YEARS. At first, I thought it was his best album since The Last Temptation, but after listening to it again, I think W2MN surpasses it. W2MN easily makes my top 5 Alice albums.

Sad but true, and the "Top 10" would be a true reflection of the public interests. Because, the way it looks now is awful....Coldplay is terrible....or just boring.

If we lived in a perfect world, where people spent money on music, it would be recorded on some chart.

It's all relative.

Possibly. But, there has been discussion about W2MN being one of the best albums of 2011.

Believe it or not....I didn't start the discussion.

Like it or not, Alice Cooper has a built in audience and 40+ years into a career it's highly unlikely that all of the sudden he's going to start appealing to a whole new demographic of music listeners.

In the old days of radio, perhaps he could have caught lightning in a bottle via a hit single and sold more records, but not in this day and age.

Anything else is just wishful thinking.

This reviewer had the following to say....

"....Welcome 2 My Nightmare is a wild ride. Alice and his newfound partnership with Bob Ezrin have succeeded in pulling out all the stops to create an album that stands as Alice’s best work in at least 30 years…in fact make that 36 years since the original album came out. It’s as big, bold and brash as it is subtle and proves that Alice need no longer just be remembered by the younger generation for “Poison” and that for the older generation, he is still the master of the bizarre. Alice, we’re not worthy!!!"

I'd like a title like "The Final Nightmare" or the Nightmare Returns...From the Dead! (5 Years down the road though) Next up...I want an "Alice Cooper Goes Back To Hell". And at the end of it, there should be a conclusion that Steven wasn't really dreaming while he was in Hell, so because he has been there for so long, he falls asleep into a third nightmare in the last song where Hell haunts him psychologically until he finally wakes up and beats the devil in the third nightmare. Or he could not wake up at all and be trapped in the hellish nightmare for all eternity.

Yup,there are plenty of possibilities to go around for what can/should happen next. Alice might pull another shock though and not do a concept album at all. Could be another dose of The Eyes/Dirty Diamonds sleeze garage rock. Wouldn't be opposed to it as I love those albums but it would be cool to see Alice blend WTMN, Goes to Hell, W2MN and a possible Goes Back to Hell together. It would be like putting a family of younger and older generational siblings together and see how they match up with their similarities, differences and viewpoints.
