Really?! You're living in the past, I'm afraid.

It's sweet that you all want to have a conversation with me. I feel loved and valued. My mailbox is open....

>The other value of reviews...is that for every non-fan that reads a positive review and goes out and buys a copy

Have you just crawled from under a rock or something?! No - one cares about them any more because people can make up their own minds without having to rely on what critics think. With access to YouTube, Spotify and other outlets, it's irrelevant what critics think. You are bordering on the insane.

Not one message in my mailbox....how peculiar. It's like everyone is afraid to tell me how they really feel.

Why do you think that someone is afraid to show his real feelings for not sending you a private mail??
I think that most post are very clear and straight forward. I think you should accept other thoughts and another point of view than yours.

:rotfl: What is funny is the concept that I ever said that someone/anyone agree with me. I never said that. I accept other people's point of view. I just believe they are wrong. Simple.

Now that's funny from the guy that just posted a hundred reviews with the sole intention of changing someone's opinion.

Oooooh I made a red box.

Actually, the point of the information that I provided was to INFORM that there was a more positive, and prevalent side. If you read any of the reviews, you would realize that there were provided in both positive AND negative. But...let's be honest...there are WAY MORE positive reviews than negative reviews....why? because more people feel like me.

I'm glad there were mostly positive reviews, but there were mostly positive reviews of "Along Came A Spider" also so that proves these reviews are pretty much meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

And to deny your motivation for posting these reviews when you've made it pretty clear from the outset is just silly.

Um, excuse me sir, is there a bathroom here?

It's kind of wierd. I don't think many would want to buy the album just from listening to the snippets provided on itunes or amazon. But when you listen to the whole songs they are pretty much awesome. I specially like The Congregation and Disco Bloodbath.

I've listened to the album so MANY times by now that I dont think I doslike one song from it...
I think the song I like the less its Runaway train and Bad Situation.... I still have to listen to flatline... but not a big thing though
The rest for me is VERY GOOD. I enjoy it so much!

I've got the Fanpack, US Vinyl, Best Buy Version, Itunes version and the 7" vinyl.

I will be ordering the UK Vinyl this weekend as well. As I want the Blood red Version. I will be using that one to create a nice Digital version for use on the PC.
Then I may frame that one and us the US version for my player

When I heard that Alice was doing this album, I was excited that the title was Welcome 2 My Nightmare.. I didn't know what to expect from Alice. That's half the fun for me.. Where is he going to take us next? I mean we've been to hell, insane asylum's, the circus and inside the world of a serial Killer named Spider. I got exactly what I expected from Alice... The unexpected. Just as I have said before. I have sat back and listen to some real cruel things being said about this album. Is it my very favorite Alice Cooper album.. No.. That still belongs to Love It to Death. But I do love the concept of this album. Years later Alice has another nightmare, and this one has all the elements of a classic Alice album. Think back to your child hood.. had you ever had a nightmare. Aren't they kinda wierd usually. Nightmares are not supposed to be tied together in a neat little bow. Sometimes you have to piece them together, you know read between the lines. The original nightmare is never going to be duplicated, but there's always room for another nightmare adventure. i just wanted to have my say on this album cause I do get tired of seeing this album ripped to shreds. No one has hardy mentioned Steve Hunter's amazing solo's on this album as well as other lended talent's such as Vince Gill and the original group getting back together. This album deserves much more than what some of you have given it.

Hi Billie1966,
sorry that you see it that way but I think that most of the fans find the album to be at least very good.

After a month of listening to W2MN at least once a day, I still can't stop.
Neither in my wildest dreams I would have expected it to be so good, at this point of AC's career.
I love each and every track, of course there are some that I find a little weaker, but none of them is a bad song IMO. I can't say such a thing about the vast majority of AC albums, from the very beginning to nowadays.
Having 18 new songs going in maybe 16 different styles but still sounding AC is exactly what I have been dreaming of for a long, long time.
The songwriting is amazing, as is the production, musicianship and, maybe the most surprising of all, Alice's inspired and extremely varied vocals!
For what is worth, I still don't like the cover, though the packaging as a whole is very good, but this doesn't bother me at all when the music is so great.
A quick overview of the tracks with my votes:

I am made of you - 10
Caffeine - 10
The nightmare returns - 10
Runaway Train - 10 (special mention for the stunning solo!)
Last man on earth - 10 (Alice's best vocal ever)
The congregation - 7
I'll bite your face off - 8
Disco bloodbath - 9
Ghouls gone wild - 9
Something to remember me by - 8
When hell comes home - 9
What baby wants - 10
I gotta get out of here - 9
The underture - 9
Under the bed - 9
We gotta get out of this place - 10
Bad situation - 7
Flatline - huh? :rotfl:

I am going to follow Spot and Jerome's lead and rate each track as well. Before I begin, I do want to comment on reviews. As has been discussed reviews are all very subjective. In the last several years every time Alice has done a new album there have been reviews that have stated, "This is Alice's best album since Welcome To My Nightmare" or some other album usually from the 70's. I remember when Brutal Planet came out there were very positive reviews (And I agree BP is one of my favorite Alice albums ever) and then a few years later a ton of reviews criticized Alice for going in more of an industrial metal vein. In other words, professional reviews can be kind of fickle and recently (As many of us can recall and I think Alice even commented on it), a reviewer allegedly reviewed an Alice concert the day BEFORE Alice performed and didn't even have the complete setlist right. In other words, everything should be taken with a grain of salt. The best Alice album ever is whatever you think it is.

I Am Made of You-5 (love the lyrics but the added vocal effects just don't work for me personally.
Caffeine -6
The Nightmare Returns - 10
Runaway Train -7
Last Man on Earth - 10 (Alice's best vocal ever)
The Congregation -10
I'll Bite Your Face Off -10 (I personally agreed with this being the first single. If Alice was going to get any radio airplay this was the most logical song)
Disco Bloodbath- 3
Ghouls Gone Wild- 5
Something To Remember Me By - 6
When Hell Comes Home - 10 (probably my favorite on the album)
What Baby Wants - 10
I Gotta Get Out of Here - 9
The Underture - 10
Under The Bed - 8
We Gotta Get Out of This Place - 9
Bad Situation - 8
Flatline -Either a 0 or a 10, lol

Ok, I'll play:

I Am Made of You - 8
Caffeine - 9
The Nightmare Returns - 7
Runaway Train - 8
Last Man on Earth - 9
The Congregation - 9
I'll Bite Your Face Off - 8
Disco Bloodbath - 8
Ghouls Gone Wild - 8
Something To Remember Me By - 6
When Hell Comes Home - 9
What Baby Wants - 8
I Gotta Get Out of Here - 9
The Underture - 5
Under The Bed - 8
We Gotta Get Out of This Place - 6
Bad Situation - 7

Overall, it's a very good album.

That said, I don't think there is a really classic track that stands above everything else and thus no "10s".

I think it's his best overall album since TLT, although some of the albums in between did have songs I'd consider to be "10s".

Disclaimer: None of this is *written in stone*, opinions can evolve, but these are my feelings at this moment in time.
