That review is completely ludicrous. Ignore it.
Is there even more then one voice on 'Last Man On Earth'?

The guy is obviously an idiot. He says he owns every Alice album, but doesn't consider himself a fan. No one's buying 25 studio albums unless they're a true fan. He probably downloaded a torrent of the entire discography, and therefore thinks he knows all there is to know.

I've heard the entirety of LMOE and loved it. I also love Caffeine. If he thinks those are the worst the album has to offer, I'll love the whole thing for sure haha.

The fact he admits that he owns all the albums but isn't a fan supports that theory.

Poor review, but he's entitled to his opinion.

What is hilarious is that, this guy keeps saying how he is not really a fan, but yet claims to know what he is talking about....enough to be able to try to review an album.

Here is a dumb quote:
"For me, WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE is just another Alice Cooper release, which might be why I don’t hate it like so many of the hardcores already seem to..."

Any "hardcores" here? I wanna talk to the ones who hate the album already...

He has conversed with "many" hardcores. My credo has always been.that a review is just simply someones opinion be it good or bad, that this someone has a medium to express to the masses. For most of us here, in essence this is our medium.

Remember..opinions are just like........we all have one

Some critiques i find are disreputable (Shakefire).and then you have the more reputable sources like Braveworld.

I just read the Shakefire review...and the first impression I get, is that this review is written by a 20 year old. Someone who has no history of understanding where Alice has been or where Alice is going to. Not one mention of Bob Ezrin....hello? Not one mention of it being a sequel to the first WTMN...

Dumb people giving reviews when they have not done their homework.

I've gone with Si's review of the review and ignored it..have heard very little of album and it'll be what it'll be-( or is what it is since its recorded for any pedants out there)..even Alice's big sellers didnt get great reviews in some quarters..only days to go

First impressions... I am made of you is an instant classic for the same reasons that made me fall in love with Alice's music. It is not what one expects from him and therefore it makes the beauty of the song more apparent.

When hell comes home is the other album highlight. It plays after Disco Bloodbath and Ghouls gone wild, two songs that represent the fantasy element of dreams. It represents the transition from one dream state to the next, where we tap directly into our unconscious fears and desires. The song took my breath away.

The Underture was also a great surprise. It is a sweeping epic that not only recaps the nightmare, but recaps our own lives - bringing back memories of the original nightmare. It was like my life flashing before my eyes. Absolutely beautiful.

Beyond that my opinions match those of most of us; not a bad song in the lot, Ghouls definitely being the weakest. Besides that, I love it. The concept itself is a little muddy and it seems that I'll bite your face and what baby wants are a bit redundant. Placing them so far apart muddles the concept even further, but music isn't about coherent concept, it's about conveying emotion and Alice has delivered what is undoubtedly his most emotionally committed album since From the Inside.

Did you read the review? Because I'm only in the second paragraph and found that piece of information...

"Certainly, the original WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE is Alice Cooper’s landmark album that old school fans will compare everything he’s ever done to. Thirty Five years later he returns with a sequel to this masterpiece"

EDIT: And again in the last paragraph,
"While I think hardcore fans wanted the definitive explanation point on Alice Cooper’s career with this concept sequel"

Unbelievable. He's basically categorizing most of us as haters of this new album when most of us on here are really looking forward to it. This dude needs to find a better living cause he sure aint persuading anyone from this poorly written review. He even contradicts himself in the beginning.

His review is also full of contradictions. One example being that he claims the album is "full of turds" (despite only giving like one example, which he didn't even do right) and then goes on to say the album is very enjoyable...

I have always prefered inspired artistic tunes , im my view this is one of the coops greatest assets .For me Last man on earth is one of the standouts from the samples .

The coops hard rock tunes are also fantastic but i feel most of the newer tunes ( 90s onward ) are very uninspired compared to his earlier works .

I had a look through this weeks mainstream music magazines - courtesy of the library that is Asda magazine shelf - but couldn't find any reviews, nor in fact much mention at all really. I wonder if anyone has read a review outwith the more specialised outlets?

Just a little factoid you might be interested in..When Michael Bruce was over here in 2002,he let me hear some demos he had been working on....The one that got me was "When hell comes home" i even said to him that's the track...its right up AC's street you should offer it to him.....So its pretty cool to see it surface even if it is 9 years later...Mike sang it in a deep Alice like vocal...I hope MB makes his version available to be heard,I think its the best thing he has written since the glory days...PS..Love the new album 8/10...:)
