>With the quality of the 3 tracks on WTMN2 with Bruce/Dunaway/Smith I'd say we would have every chance of having some great music on an album.

That's a fair point, but three songs is not an entire album and also, don't forget Bob Ezrin's input.

That's right and we know how realistic they can be as well.

>The Alice Cooper eChive does say that a "full blown tour supporting the album (ACAS) was scrapped in favour of the Theatre of Death tour, which sees Alice die a thousand deaths."

That doesn't mean that was correct information.

>So not sure if they are the last word on these issues, but there is evidence to support this assumption.

Again, the most that was under consideration was a four or six song segment.

How do we know this information is incorrect? Where is your information from that makes yours correct?

Well, if you read some of the previous threads (given that you've only recently joined), you'll see I'm not in the habit of just making things up. Various members of the Alice's staff are acquaintances of mine and it was pretty obvious from conversations with them around that time that the 2008 shows would be the "Psycho - Drama" tour with just a few songs from "Along Came A Spider" thrown in. As we know, that never happened and by the time that tour was over, everything had moved on with Alice and show's director coming up with the idea of more than one execution which then led to the "Theater Of Death" production. Even if "Along Came A Spider" had been a big hit, my information was that there was only ever going to be a segment of songs from that album. It may seem like semantics but there wasn't an "entire" show based around that album. I think it turned out to be the right decision.

One third or half of an album doesn't count as a 'full blown tour'? What counts as 'full blown'? Playing the whole album? Alice didn't even play the whole tracklist of WTMN on the 1975 tour. The fact remains that a tour was setup and choreographed in support of the concept and theme of ACAS.

Also The Constrictor and the Raise Your Fist And Yell tours both were made up of segments based around songs from those two albums, and they only featured 3 or 4 songs from the album. Nonetheless the tours were in support of the albums.

>One third or half of an album doesn't count as a 'full blown tour'?

It's not just the number of songs though. It's creating an entire new production around those songs. A new stage set, new costumes, new routines, new props and new choreography are all part of it as well.

>Alice didn't even play the whole tracklist of WTMN on the 1975 tour.

But an entirely new show was put together though.

>>What counts as 'full blown'?

See above.

>The fact remains that a tour was setup and choreographed in support of the concept and theme of ACAS.

I can only tell you that's not what I was told at that specific time and I guess at this point, you'll need to show evidence for your statement as well.

Again, it's not just about the number of somgs that were performed. Also, "Constrictor" is not a good example as it wasn't a 'concept' album, so there was no 'conceptual' staging that directly related to it.

There were nine songs performed out of the eleven songs from that album. That's a lot more than the two albums you referred to.

Which ones did he leave out? I was so sure he played all of them, but it was a long time ago, and my memory was never that great. I still have my ticket tho.

10 of the 11 were done. The Awakening was left off the set list.

Yes. I was also excluding "Devil's Food" (which I think only a part of was performed and without Alice also).

Well I want to throw in my two cents about this whole ACAS tour thing...I loved the album and really wanted a "full blown" production around the idea of a serial killing spider web obsessed leg cutting freak...we got Vengeance is Mine and In Touch With Your Feminine Side...For those who have seen my Youtube interview of sorts with Alice from the 2009 Monster Mania reunion of the original band, I asked Alice about the ACAS tour and he said it would be 1/3 of the show as the show would be divided into 3 parts...sadly that didn't come true as The Theatre of Death came to us which was one of the best shows ever...we did get the whole Spider outfit during Vengeance which I guess could have played a part in the proposed ACAS tour...but it didn't..still think a horror movie could be made about the whole concept...

Now back to all things W2MN....
