New album art

This thread is reserved for only those who LOVE the new album cover. Anyone bitching about it can start their own thread.

After looking closely at it, I am thrilled at the level of detail here. I love the way that it reflects 1975, right down to the buggy wallpaper. And, Alice looks great.

Then you look closer. This is a cover that takes time to absorb. Hopefully it is a reflection of the music that we are about to hear.

Ernie Cefalu, I am very impressed with your creativity! ...You should do this for a living.

Seriously, though - you did a beautiful job! I can't wait to open the album and see what else you came up with. I hope that it's okay that I share these high rez links:

Thanks for starting this awesome thread honouring ernie's awesome work and the links! I love how it incorporates past elements with today's elements. People need to start respecting it for what the album is aiming for, a more humorous approach while still creating nightmarish moments. I love how Alice is animated and ready to grab you into this nightmare. This isn't meant to beat the original or be in the same style. It's supposed to be an updated version. I mean it is 35 years later...

Anyways thanks again and I hope people start to accept how awesome it really is!

I would say its definatley on par with the original. I think they are like 2 seperate masterpeices that go perfectly together.

I love the cover...its a continuation of what was started in 1975 and now 36 years, Alice gives us another nightmare...this is going to be an amazing album and everything with it will be just spectacular...thank you Ernie for once again giving us a masterpiece...and for the record, as someone who LOVES horror/splatter, this is just up my alley..heck that is one of the reasons I became an Alice fan in the first place at the tender age of 6 was the fact he had ties to horror movies..

I love the original,and the sequel covers.Its a 2011 Nightmare,a different Nightmare for different times with vestiges of the original Nightmare interspersed throughout.A up to date cover,for an up to date Nightmare!!

The high res pictures really brought the cover to life.

Ernie...you did a great job with what must have been a daunting task to have it sit next to the original Welcome To My Nightmare cover.

I was dubious about the cover at first, I thought it looked like any generic rock album cover.

Having seen the detail I've changed my mind (and am also considering picking up the vinyl to frame).

Fingers crossed for one of those art quality prints as per the original.

A MetalPak/steelbook or velvet slipcase wouldn't go amiss either
