I've been to Universal around Halloween in FL, not CA, and they do a great job. I would LOVE to go to this, but it's just too far away.

Is that already some new music on the background?
Can't figure it out?

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

This will probably sound as a quite silly question to people in the US, but I don't understand what these Horror Nights exactly are.
A show of what kind? Is it live in a theatre or venue, or aired on some tv or what?
The trailer is very cool, but I just don't get what it is actually presenting!

A lot of amusement parks do this sort of thing now. In the lead up to Halloween, they'll decorate the park with halloween / horror movie type decorations and special effects. They'll have creatures and zombies walking around. They'll have onsite haunted houses and such too. Lots of times these 'horror nights' take place on certain days of the week after regular park hours.

I'm not sure exactly how Universal runs it now, but I was there in 2003 and they really impressed me with everything they did. They had a lot of cool creatures walking around, fake smoke at the entrance to the park. They also had a cool haunted house there too.

It was a lot of fun. I'd love to attend this, though I don't think it's in the cards this year.

universal studios promo background music.

I have just watched Alice's promo for the universal studio halloween special (link on the news page). But focus in on the music playing in the background. Could this be from the new album? If so it sounds absolutely superb.

It's times like this when I really wish I was American (or had the money to come over for Halloween :p). Alice is right, we just don't make a big enough deal of it over here :(

The background music sounds really epic and atmospheric would be really cool if this was a taste of nightmare 2.

More great promotion and publicity. If it's a great album or has at least one radio friendly song this will be a major comeback for Alice.

Thank you for the explanation, much clearer now ;)

Re: The Music. It's possible it is from the new album (Alice did say after all that there would be musical throwbacks here and there) but the first half of it is simply the opening (even if it's a re-recording) to "Welcome To My Nightmare" and then the instrumental middle section of "Only Women Bleed" before going off into something else.

This is likely just for this year. They have a different theme each year. The Orlando resort has a stellar website that they have already started updating for this year.

Well just talking on the phone with universal studios and they told me that they will have this attraction since september 23rd until october 31th.
Also they wanted me to tell Andy that his replies are not cool. That he better stop it.

Have you not been paying attention? The resort does this every year for Halloween. Depending on what day of the week Halloween falls on, it can go on for the first few days of November too. Again, there have a different theme every year. From what I have seen, the Orlando resort does a better job. In Orlando, the theme also involves a backstory. This year it ends on the 31st, or Halloween.

yes loomis, Ive read your reply and thank you for answering me. I was replying to Mr Michael.
I was playing with the idea for travelling to the usa but since it's for so little time since I saw the exact dates, and being so expensive (I live in argentina) I will pass.
