W2MN in North America??

I'm just wondering if the W2MN tour will hit these shores. The US gigs are done at the end of August, and dates abroad are filling in for the Halloween months (Sept/Oct).Conjecture would say at this point, that anything from Nightmare 2 won't commence till 2012.but i could be wrong.

With the Fanpack, media coverage,Night of fear tour in the UK ,it could/should auger well for an impact,if the album is as good as expected.I just hope they can duplicate that kind of attention in the US,where both hype and promotion are needed.

Any thoughts on this?

Yeah I really hope they hit it big in the US.

Now something comparable to the 100 club with a guest star or two would help!! Maybe after Alice returns from overseas he can get the proverbial ball rolling in the US.

I think Alice has high hopes for Europe with his new album.
But I think if this album is a hit in the US he will be back in a minute.

I'm not sure what would be considered a hit. Top 20? I seriously doubt that happening. I think worldwide the last crop of albums are averaging at about 100,000 or less.

Unless Alice adds additional dates to the US tour up through the middle of September, that looks to be it for the US.

If there is no W2MN Tour this year, I can't say I'm surprised. In fact, I'd be more surprised if there were at this point based on the way things are shaping up.

I really like, however, when the album release and stage show based on the album coincide with each other, it just seems a bit anti-climactic otherwise.

I'm expecting at least a Top 20 debut.Since its a sequel to a classic conceptual masterpiece, then add the momentum from the RRHOF, and the plaudits he has received from Cooper insiders, ipso facto,i expect a decent chart showing.Record sales are not there anymore,it takes a lot to hit the GOLD status.

ACAS,almost hit the Top 50 (#53),and was not very good,as most Alice fans will attest to.

Since he's on Universal in the UK.i believe they expect big things according to the Independent article i read a couple of weeks ago.Seems like things could be in place for a comeback of sorts over in the UK and Europe.I think in the US,Bigger Picture are being distributed by Warner Bros..if that will have the same clout as Universal,i don't know.Maybe Andy can impart some info there.

I agree I find the touring well after the album is released to be baffling. The momentum is lost.

I concur with Pitkin88,what momentum would there be if W2MN is released in Oct,and the subsequent tour to support it commences in May??History would say thats when the 2012 tour would start.

I think a lot of us would have liked a short tour with Bruce/Dunaway/Smith and Hunter then a break to prepare a tour to co-incide with WTMN 2. Best of both worlds.

Best case scenario....W2MN comes out,and is as strong a CD as promised, has a song or 2,that gets radio play, and builds upon that and perpetuates the interest in W2MN with a full blown arena tour come next spring.Add in ,a few Alice "surprises" in the winter months...and there you go....sound plausible?

I'm not sure what the question (if there is one) is.

I think we want you to tell us every last thing you know relating to Alice Cooper... start from the beginning.

Sorry about that Andy

Just wanted to know if you think Bigger Picture can have the same "push" as Universal music in the UK.Could "big things" be expected over in the US,like they are in England.Maybe just your opinion may be suffice. thx

Most of it isn't worth knowing.

No problem at all.

It's a reasonable question, but I don't know the answer to it.

I just hope they get someone professional to design the web banners and any other web ads. The ones for "Theater of Death" were truly terrible.
