Well, i have ordered 2 copies and the money has already been taken from my account.

I disagree. If you pay by credit card or debit card, the answer is going to be different anyway.

With a credit card, you don't have to pay the bill until it arrives, which is the opposite to how with a debit card works.

Do they take the money from your account. They do. Whether it is a credit card account or a debit card account.

Same with tickets when you buy them.

Amazon however don`t (for example), they only charge your account when the item ships.

That's not what he asked. He asked:

That's not how a credit card works as you know. The point is, if James1981 needs a lesson on how to run his personal finances, I'm not sure this is the place for that. There have recently been some truly idiotic and redundant questions that have been asked here ranging from where to park a car and which seating arrangements a particular venue has. If you're happy for that level of laziness and ignorance to be displayed here, then as the owner, that's your perogative.

If there's a debit card that doesn't take the money out of your current account as soon as you make a purchase, I want to know!

You are missing the point.
The point is whether your card is charged when you order, or when the item is shipped.
Yes, WHEN the DEBIT card is charged it would take money out, but the question was WHEN it would be charged.

Amazon ONLY charge your account when they ship, NOT when you order. So if you pre-order something a couple of months before release you won`t be CHARGED for it until it is released two months later, regardless of if you use credit or debit.

Ticketmaster charge your account when you order, NOT when they ship.

The difference could be months, in this case (W2MN) two months.

Taking an pre-order for something does not automatically mean you will be paying for the item at that point. In effect James asked wheather Future Publishing was like Amazon, or Ticketmaster.

Thanks Si thats exactly what i meant. Im starting to feel sorry i asked though. Seems there has to be a huge debate on here everytime something is posted im starting to wonder if i should even bother.

I'm with you james, some people just like to pick holes in every little thing. It put me off this forum for quite a while butjust when I thought it was safe my Alice addiction pulled back in. I thought you asked a very sensible question, just looking for clarity, which is a fine thing to look for on a fan's forum but i guess some people just like stretching their ego. But it is not going to spoil the anticipation of WTMN2. Whoooeee counting the days my friend, counting the days.

I for one can't wait....less than 2 months before the special preorder is shipped...living in the USA and having the cd a month before release...how incredibly awesome...plus all the new bells and whistles with the cd....I can't wait to see the cover art, the official tracklist, everything...
