I always knew that there are others, like me, who also love disco . Ok i admit it , I love disco and always will . And now i find out the coop is also a lover of the silver ball and spinning lights.

My belief is that the coop has one regret, and it is all about not doing a disco album and tour .

I read that he used to go to the Studio 54 in New York, like all the celebrities did at the time.
As for me, I was too young to be a disco queen in the big years of disco, must have been fun. I liked the movie with Mike Myers.

I have no shame in saying I own and love alot of disco. Amongst all the chart rubbish there is some amazing stuff.

I enjoy a lot of disco myself. It's fun stuff. Wouldn't say I'm a fan of any of the particular artists themselves except the Bee Gees. But they weren't solely defined by the genre either.

Lots of bands did great disco songs though... The Stones and KISS to name two.

Alice does hate disco but he does love the "Saturday Night Fever" album.

Alice Cooper has done many Disco songs. Alice/Vince whatever he or you want to call him:

You Gotta Dance
No More Love At Your Convenience
From the Inside

All have that awful, boring 4 on the floor drum beat. Although I do think From the Inside is a great song.

I think due to becoming anemic because of booze the "Go to Hell" tour was to be a double level stage with the lower half being a disco(Hell). Pretty funny. To bad he was a mess at the time. There was a mention on someone's post that the Welcome 2 My Nightmare tour may incorporate a Disco/Hell like thing. Hope so. Might as well rehash any old idea that comes up.

- Aah, at last, someone who doesn't get a heart attack when having to recognise the obvious disco side to these three songs. "From the inside" could have pleased me with others arrangements and completely different sound.... Lately I have being arguing with a guy on YouTube about those songs being disco songs, and he just kept searching, almost with anger I should say, for any explanation (and non-musical reasons most of the times...) to convince me that these songs were certainly not disco ! :rotfl:

I mean, come on :rotfl:  I don't give a damn about 'disco-or-not-disco' in fact, but if something is disco, I won't give it another name or try to say it's something else, just because Alice says he hates disco ! That would be just silly !

Seriously, is that particular music kind such a horrible disease anyway ?

One thing is sure, I'm not losing sleep over this "supposedly important" question anyway ! :rotfl:

Why would you want to use a name he does not answer to?

I think it's a little bit of a stretch to describe that last song as being in the genre under discussion, although I think I know what you mean. There is a lot prominent hi - hat, as well.

The thing that makes From the Inside a bit "disco" is the slap-bass that runs all through the song from 15 seconds in , though not so prominent in the 7 " single mix ..... Still a cracking song that still gives me goosebumps 33 years on ......... And I've always had a soft spot for No More Love ... Though his vocal is way too low in the mix !

Nothing really wrong with Disco if it's done good. 2 songs I think are good are -

Kiss - I was Made For Loving You

Stones - Emotional Rescue

>the slap-bass that runs all through the song from 15 seconds in ,

That's true, although it doesn't really change the beat or anything.
