Re: jagermeister event
That was a made-for-TV hologram, I doubt it would be that similar to the clip (and I doubt if the presenter himself could see the hologram with his own eyes) ... for one, she's wearing all-black which Alice & band couldn't do.
(As well as she mentions being surrounded by cameras, whereas the photo's published on Jagermeisters' facebook shows cameras just head on to the band).
Be great if they somehow achieve close results tho, but I wouldn't expect anything that sophisticated being seen with the naked eye.
Who knows, with a few jagermeisters in you - might just do the trick.

Re: jagermeister event
Well if you need to give your ID it's pretty pointless to get them. Not to mention that it's not right to sell something that came for free....
I hope no one falls for that scam

Eighteen, NMMNG, Under My Wheels, Is It My Body, Billion Dollar Babies, Elected and SO was the setlist.
A good night out with lots of the usual faces managing to make it in one way or another which was cool.
Free booze and pizza which never goes a miss.
The venue is actually pretty cool. A custom made structure inside the framework of the old powerstation, part undercover and part open (so you could smoke inside!). Everyone involved was very friedly and there were Jager-girls circulating, passing out shots of Jager all night, endlessly, or you could go to the multiple bars to get mixers of soft drinks, all free. They also didn`t really over pack the place so there was room to move around.
Behind the main room bar two airbrush artists created a very nice B&W picture of the original band (circa 69) and Alice (circa '94? haha) which was really nice.
The opening band "the king blues" appeared on a second stage in the outside area but where nothing to worry about (kinda rap/pop thing), while the hologram stage was the bigger of the two set up in the main room.
The 4D experience was, to be honest, a little underwhelming. It didn`t honestly look like it was in 3D, more like a average old bootleg video on a big screen, and the 4D element seemed to simply be some smoke and confetti/streamers shot out at the end. Was kinda expecting maybe dollars and balloons but none appeared.
Musically it sounded good though. The original recording has obviously been produced and overdubbed but the sound was excellent.
Most people seemed to enjoy the event (free booze will do that of course) but there was a difinite split between the die hards who were basically there to see the hologram show, and the freeloaders who had no interest in anything but the free booze. Many seemed to think that either a) Alice was performing live in batterea (before they saw the film) or b) Alice was performing live in LA and it was being beamed live to Battersea, neither of which was true of course.
The rest of us just enjoyed it all for what it was, a unique evening well run and a bit of fun. It was certainly amusing for us drivers to watch many of the sickthings falling around after a few too many free drinks. Mr Crayn, I'm looking at you haha
On the downside, the Zane Lowe "DJ Set" was a truly horrible experience. Basically about an hour of him standing on stage and destroying every rock hit (apart from anything by AC) from the last 30 years by messing around with them, playing a few bars and then making noise over it and switching to something else. People get PAID for this?!?! I just don`t get it.
The guy that took over after him was infinitly better as he simply put on a record and actually let it play even if his initial selections were maybe a little out of step with what was left of the audience.
Heading out everyone was given a nice Jagermeister goodie bag with miniature Jager bottle, shot glass, medium T-shirt (like most of the audience will fit in that haha) and a nice card advert for the box set. You also got a nice laminate with the Killer promo pic on one side when you entered.
All in all a very fun night and always great to meet up with everyone. Credit to Jager and Lucid for organising what turned out to be a well run event, even if the main attraction wasn`t exactly spectacular. I doubt many people went away disapointed they turned up.

Re: jagermeister event
They were checking names at the door and check ing ID to match the names. Not sure how strict they were actually being but you definitly had to have something that connected you with the name on the list.alicespoisonuk wrote:Wasn't saying it was right but apparently this person could not go and said that he had checked with Planet Rock re the entry thing and they had confirmed it would be OK and ID was only for age check.
