Short clip of the band, Rolling Stone interviewer.
Was surprised to see Alice answer all the questions. How come the others didn't get involved?

I'm sure half of that situation is the combination of the interviews time restraints along with the interviewers complete lack of knowledge that ALICE COOPER the band, was being inducted and not the solo artist.

Yup plus the fact that Alice has been conducting interviews as a soli artist for over 30 years. There's every chance he forgot they were there!

On another note, could he still be inducted as a solo artist?

I was discussing that last night with a friend and with all due respect I don't think his solo career has made a significant enough impact on music to warrant that.

It's certainly a long shot but I'd induct him for WTMN alone. It would be mental if it happened one day though :)

no matter who you were a fan of,you probably were a bit upset at how chopped up this show was. If they show all 4 hours of the grammy's,why can't a cable station show this thing in it's entirity? every acceptance speech was interspersed with a bit of song, cut to speech, back to song, ugh!and then they show "school's out"? gosh,it's a great song, but I wonder if years down the road people are going to think alice was a one hit wonder? will we ever see the night's performance of "under my wheels"? even alice's speech was cut-luckily the above link was proof that it was indeed longer.
having said that,it looked like a fun evening for all inductees and they sounded great...but boo to the editors and whoever wasn't willing to sacrifice a repeat of "hubbus on music" to show the WHOLE thing.

Alice was by far the best part of the show. I didn't watch it all, too boring. Most of it was old folks rock and roll. Alice represented the true spirit of rock with his high energy music and defiant attitude.

Neal diamond needs to go to vegas and stay there-he went into the audience and did everything but walk up to bette midler and say "hey where you from doll"? very, very corny. I thought tom waits was interesting in the way I pick a chia pet up in a store at xmas time and observe it,darlene love was spectacular-HUGE voice and truly grateful to be inducted.leon russell was there more for elton john I think, but he was good and has an amzing resume! dr. john was good (glad they showed a ringo all starr clip)!
$1000.00 a plate folks, and they ate pot pies for dinner. I'm so glad alice is in,but there is still much to correct at this organization! kiss next please!

Not to nitpick, but the guitar sound on the video Tim provided sounded like crap (but Neal, Dennis and Alice sounded fine.) Not the playing, just the mix. Of course doesn't seem like hardly any post-mixing or anything was done either.

Yea, I didn't like that either. Considering they showed the induction ceremonies live in their entirety the last 2 years, I don't know why this needed to be done.

One would think FUSE would be desperate to show this in it's entirety considering there is very little worth watching on that channel normally.

Did everyone see Alice singing "Da Do Run Run" during the closing credits?

A heavy, heavy sigh.
Hall of Fame is for "old folks"? I wonder who set the table for these "young folks"???? Probably a group of (now)63 year olds from Phoenix? I guess it is time for some of us to bow our heads and walk into the sunset.......

Actually it was $2000 - $3000 originally. Janice said the food was good....but she did expect better. If I had paid out that kind of cash and got pot pies - I would have walked over to Jann Wenner's table and put that pot pie where the sun doesn't shine. But hey, all those "suits" that probably got a free ticket into the show....they should of been given airline peanuts and a warm coke.

the fact is all the best popular music came out of the 60s and the 70s so it is the fault of the young that it hasn't been matched or bettered, so respect to the old folks.

As Alice said "I hope I never out grow a Pete Townshend windmill chord or Jeff Beck lead guitar"

oldies but goodies, 18 with a bullet as Pete Wingfield once sang
