Was reading the yearbook from the boxset...Lonn Friend mentions the trunk that broke down with Alice's pic on it, but didn't mention the reason...they pulled that stunt because of poor ticket sales and wanted to cause a commotion to boost publicity and hopefully sell some ticktes...

Yes a dream come true...I love that it is solely focussed on Alice Cooper "the Band".

Aside from all the bickering, great job to everyone involved...including you Andy...

The original draft was much longer and I think it may have been included in it.

That was always the whole point of it.

It's just debating.

Yup, I believe the Golden Ticket is a meet and great experience (not sure if this includes anything over the normal ones you can buy though). Sadly, there is no tour of the chocolate factory :(

Well, wind_up_toy, when I heard about those golden tickets I was thinking exactly the same! But if you were like Charlie, you'd have to buy two copies of the box, and that's a little expensive :p .

I'm still waiting on my copy! I ordered it last week, and I'm hoping that it'll be here next week. 'Cause that waiting is making me insane!

If that is not worth waiting for, I wonder what is :) ! I actually avoided topics like this 'cause I thought that I never could lay hands on one of those boxes. But now I will have one, I'm more than happy to catch up!

Like you earlier mentioned, cherrypie, I also wonder who are the happy fans who get the golden ticket. That would be a giant surprise, finding such a ticket in that wonderful box!

Ya, I figured it was a longer text...I just love stories like that, pulling a stunt to help get the name out there.

Like the Rolling Stone's driving around on a truck to promote their Tour Of The Americas, back in the day...

I'm sure you've heard Ron Wood's story of being on the truck and spotting Shep on the street...does anyone know if there is any truth to that?? I've looked at several pics from that looking to see if I see Shep on the street, so far no luck.

Not sure what you're expecting here... the band sounds excellent here (even though this isn't one of my favorite songs).

As far as performances, the band purposely plays in place on this one pseudo-soldier like.

Please explain to us what you find so horrifyingly bad about Steve's playing on this song.

Then again, you seem to have a lot of opinions but very little facts to back any of them up.

You've done it...Steve is amazing on this song...how could I miss such amazing playing...damn...

ok here's a new question who would you rather see with Alice Steve Hunter or Mike Bruce...and don't say stuff like Mike's not a lead guitarist...

MB...but only if Dennis and Neal are part of the band as well. Otherwise, I guess Steve Hunter fits within the framework Alice is currently seeking.

What GNDM said.

Although there were so many people on the stage at the 100 club, and it sounded so good, I'd quite like to see the whole lot of them together.

Anyhow, back to the boxset...

The St. Louis show is fantastic. Glen is on fire.

Now your talking...I would love that...on Thin Lizzy's last tour, well last show, every guitar player came out and they all played together, Alice needs to do something like that.

Maybe the Originals will be involved with the N2 show

I hear ya...I've always hated that Glen got a bum wrap in regards to his playing.

I was watching the School's Out Paris footage (1972) awhile back, where we see the band at the hotel beforehand and saw Mick Mashbur get in the elevator, was wondering why he was there, I know they were all friends, but watching the show, Glen is on fire...

When I saw the show, initially excited that he was going to be there, was embarrassed by it as he looked like he was struggling through the songs and didn't really add anything musically to the evening. He also looked totally out of place...Dennis on the other hand would have fit perfectly, although I understand he can't tour with one original member and not the others.
...

Wow, Steven, your really out to get me...

First I NEVER said Steve Hunter couldn't play...he's Amazing...but you just showed me clips of Steve wailing away on songs he's played for years...show me him playing Wicked Young Man...

AGAIN, I'm not out to get him, oh whatever, it's useless...is that silent enough for ya...
you are paranoid, you said you were embarrassed seeing him up there so don't backtrack.

Surely you are not suggesting the man that has played much more complex songs can't play wicked young man, you watched the clips and agree so you now admit you were wrong?
