Where is the confirmation it has sold out? Looks like you can still order it?

Andy,

You are correct. I meant to write AROUND the release of KILLER, not after.
I clarified the matter and corrected the error in my last post where I said the flexi disc version was recorded around the time of KILLER (most likely in early November 1971) at AIR studios in London with Bob Ezrin.

I first heard about this from MB, NS and DD in 1998.

So does anyone know if the boxset will be sent to us on June 20 or it will begin shipping on June 20?

Thanks and can't wait to get it...this was originally pre-ordered for me back around my birthday in April so my parents and I are dying to get it since it was their gift to me...

Sold out from AC.com? Appears to still be in stock on Amazon. Either way, congratulations to everyone involved on what appears to be a successful project.

I just ordered mine from Amazon. It didn't say anything about being sold out. Must be sold out at AC.com. It says it's scheduled to be released to ship on June 28.

Yes. Just to clarify, what was meant was that there is no more stock left in the warehouse (for the world outside America, Canada, Australia New Zealand) which means it has all gone to retailers, so you can still buy it. That's still pretty good though, as retailers want to stock it and have taken all the supply for the territories referred to.

It says this on the official site:

Packages will ship to arrive on or around street date of June 20th, 2011

So it's possible depending on location that some people may get it before the 20th. Some may get on the 20th and some after. That is normal for items of this type. Unless mailed via a carrier such as Fedex or UPS, it's virtually impossible to guarantee exactly what day it will arrive.

Given the 20th is a Monday, they would need to start shipping them this week.

Thanks for the info, it always struck me as odd that that demo sounded so great for that time period.

I've never heard the flexi disc version to figure this out on my own.

For those of you in the UK or USA complaining about the cost of the box .

Red Eye records in Australia , perhaps Australia's best record shop is selling the box set for AUD$683.00 !! ( about US$700 )

Not sure how many takers they will have at that price but they must think they can move it.

Just so everyone is aware, when a record company says the item is sold-out, it means all their stock has gone to the stockists, however companies like Amazon & Play may well still have stock.

I have just ordered mine from Amazon

Here in Canada we are having rotating postal strikes, I sure hope this isn't going to interfere with the delivery of my package.

oops sorry Andy, totally missed that.

I remember when i used to work in HMV years ago, i was in charge of ordering the 'Rock & Pop' stock. Something like this would be classed as 'firm order', therefore anything the shop/stockist ordered could not be returned if unsold. So for this item to sell-out shows there is alot of confidence from the buyers for this product.

I believe Canada Post is picking a specific city in which to halt work for a 24 hour period, then they move to another area and strike for another 24 hours... and so on. Unless your package is on the milk-run hopefully there shouldn't be that much of a delay. Just sayin', I prefer this way of striking than the entire country all at once.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...
