It's not my personal needs I'm talking about, I've purchased the set. I'm thinking about other people.

I'm sure they appreciate your concern. However, my response is still the same.

Yeah I was thinking, $260!!!, no way I'm going to buy that.

But now I see that Amazon has it for $239.37 and that made all the difference. Vengeance is mine!

I think this box set is very over priced indeed. It's not as if any of the stuff are original items themseleves or indeed rare anymore!

I'll wait until all the childish excitement has waned somewhat over this product and then pick it up 'for a song' as I did with 'The Life and Crimes' and most things people get excited about.

Judging by the strength of the pound against the dollar, the best value buy would seem to be direct from the Alice Cooper website. I think it works out at £160 (plus shipping)

160 UK pounds is about 112 euro + shipping (I think expensive) + danger of an extra charge from customs makes me to stay at Amazon.de as this is total safe and no extra charges. :teach:

Indeed!! I made a mistake. :smack:
But I'm still keeping my order at Amazon.de. If there is a problem it's easy to get a new one from them. And German post is very good.

The best deal to order is at Amazon.UK or US as this website gets a some money and so they can keep the site running for all us fans.

I thought all amazon sites are good for this site but I was wrong.

Re ;>- most other artists are far more forthcoming

Not always, actually.

I'm the new guy here so Im certainly not intending to fuffle any feathers......but here goes.......

I've ordered the box ....because i'm a massive fan and don't want to miss out ......will I be gutted if it goes on Amazon for half the price in 6 months ?....maybe - but I'm still getting it !
But , regarding the marketing , that's the way it goes with most artists .......
I bought the £90 Springsteen " Promise " box six months ago ....CBS have just released the dvd from the box for £10 with an extra live gig that wasn't on the box set .....will I buy it ??? YUP ...from a bargain bin later !
Have I just spent £50 on a book in a box ? Would I have bought the box last year if I'd known that I would eventually have been able to pick up most of the stuff (apart from the book )at a later date at a fraction of the cost ???
Definately ...that's what being a fan is all about , and I don't see it as "THE MAN " ripping me off .......it's called the music BUSINESS for a reason and by the looks of the box I might just be getting my money's worth

good take alan. that's how I usually buy-with no regrets-I bought an imported copy of "fistful of alice",because the american version had sold out already at my store. It was more expensive, but I was not waiting, and it's a dif. version to boot..catch is,I never picked up the american version with "billion dollar babies".

EMP (the web shop where I pre-ordered my copy from) informed me yesterday that the release date has been postponed to June 24. :/

You should get whatever price it was when you placed your pre order.

Actually, I believe you should get it for the LOWEST price they offer it for since you ordered and before it's actually released. I thought that was th way it works. You definitly won`t pay more, but I have certainly paid less before now when the prices has dropped between ordering and release.
