I think Alice single handedly kept Anheuser-Busch in business during that era.

It's actually by Michael Putland - he told me that at the time the picture was taken, it wasn't possible to buy Budweiser in England, but knowing it was Alice's beer of choice he got in touch with a soldier friend who was at an army base with a high volume of Americans and got a case from them to give to Alice when he arrived for the shoot. Needless to say, Alice was delighted and happy for the shoot to go on for ages. Michael has also done a lot of work with the Rolling Stones over the years.
