I bought mine about 10 years ago. Personally I think it's a great read, lots of information, definitely recommended, but there are some inaccuracies and/or omissions which others could probably speak more on.

I found a website a while back that had some comments/discussions from Dale, Brian Nelson and Andy (and a few other people?) about the book and some of the inaccuracies.

Bottom line... go buy this book and the 10 year anniversary one, you won't be disappointed.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

Mr. Sherman's books are great....I enjoyed both...and since I live in Louisville, like he does, I was able to meet him and get him to sign my book...we talked Cooper for quite a well...such a nice man :)

That's very true. As long as the above is remembered, it's a worth glancing at.

I don't believe there is anything out there that betters it. I don't have the updated book.

I think that's mainly because there has been no other attempt to do what Dale did.

I'm after a copy myself, can anyone point me in the right direction (other than Amazon)?

I found mine at a borders store, but a.)it was quite a while ago and b.)many borders stores are closing currently (but on the upside, they are marking alot of product down by 20- 40% if you have a closing one near you)

I saw a few copies at Chapters and Coles, but that was years ago. Seen a copy or two on ebay semi-recently, but some sellers are asking for your first born to get it.

I've had a word with Dale to see if he has any, as he used to be able to sell them to you direct, but he no longer has any copies left.

I've got the 10th Anniversay edition. Love it.
...And personally, I don't care.

A guilty pleasure I have with the original book is the last section on bootlegs. Some of the titles are so uninspired and just plain weird, while a big lump of others are just basic regurgitations of two or three shows.
