Favourite AC guitar moments
Heres my favourite four
1. The float away middle section of Hello Hurray
2. The last stretch of guitar on Sick Things
3. On Good to See You again-lots of squealling guitars live on My Stars
4. Again line..the intro to Poison on Trashes the World dvd
For the record would that be Glen playing on my 1 and 2 above?

That's Mick Mashbir or Steve Hunter on "Hello Hurray" I think and that sounds like Hunter or Dick Wagner to me for that segment of "Sick Things".

Re: Favourite AC guitar moments
I once read that Steve Hunter's solo on Generation Landslide was one of Bob Ezrin's favourites.
I agree with Andy that it sounds like Steve or Dick on Sickthings, I must ask them and also about Hello Hoorah which is one of my favourites.
Love the great split solos on that album on Raped and Feezing & Billion Dollar Babies.
How do you pick your favourite there have been so many?
Glens solo on Dwight Fry, Michael's riffs on so many things the combination of him and Glen on Halo Of Flies is awesome, the feedback on You Drive Me Nervous!
Steve Hunter on Steven and Some Folks, Dick Wagner on My Stars & Jacknife Johnny I also love the solo on King Of The Silver Screen which sounds like Steve but could be Dick.
Kane Roberts on Freedom, Stef Burns solo on Might As Well Be On Mars the list is endless.
Thanks guys for the inspiration to this guitarist

Re: Favourite AC guitar moments
There are so many eargasm moments in the world of Coop... First that came to my mind (in no particular order)
Dirty Diamonds
Montreux version, the guitar solo build-up and then it just explodes! (I love Ryan Roxie)
Sanctuary
from 2:49 min is just pure love!
Eat Some more
from 3:03 min =
Six Hours
the solo at the last part of the song...
Poison
Trashes The World version, amazing intro solo!

Re: Favourite AC guitar moments
I must admit I'm very partial to Kane's work as it was the first experience I had with Alice's music. Constrictor and Raise Your Fist And Yell were staples in my mid-to-late teens.scotty wrote:anything by kane roberts
Some other great guitar work...
All of Jackknife Johnny. Bits of Cold Ethyl, Dangerous Tonight, Pass The Gun Around (the solo is devine!), Hard Rock Summer, Raped & Freezin'.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...
Re: Favourite AC guitar moments

Check out the "Is It My Body/My Very Own" clip from the Detroit TV program on YouTube. The instrumental part before it goes into the Is It My Body reprise is just absolutely great stuff by Glen.

Well WYM that clip is fantastic..and Glen was so good that even Rolling Stone had to put him in their top 100 guitarists (RS not being AC lovers)..great clip..whole band great

I always adored The Black Widow in Live at Montreux. Man, that moment where they all three are in the front playing, that was a spine chilling moment :D! And the drum solo at the end is superb too!

I think I read somewhere that one og the few solos Glen actually played on BDB was on Sick Things. Not sure where, but it might have been in an interview with Neal or Dennis.

Reportedly, that was his only appearance on that album (not including "Elected").

Steve Hunter also implies that Glen did a solo on "Raped N' Freezin" in the "Interviews" section of the site.

That's possible and Mick Mahbir claims he played on that track also.

I think Glen's solo on "Sick Things" was the one in the middle of the song, 2:03-2:33. I think this is what I heard Neal Smith refer to as Glen smashing a guitar being his only contribution to the "Billion Dollar Babies" album. Also read about Glen doing this from somewhere else but didn't say what song. It does sound like he's killing his guitar!
I also thought besides "Elected" that Glen played on "Generation Landslide"? Why I say that, because one of the guitars sounds like Glen's style. Even moreso, on the early version, "Son Of Billion Dollar Babies".
