Did I miss something, because apparently besides "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" there is a new box set coming out that focuses on the early career. Has this been mentioned before and I somehow overlooked it?

Alice did mention in the Rolling Stone interview from December 14th that
I can't see it coming out until spring of next year.
what's a bit earlier then other releasedates mentioned so far.
But ofcourse this is not anything concrete.

FWIW, a Halloween release date was mentioned at the Pudding.

what we know about the album:
*produced by ezrin
*includes surviving AC members on 3 tracks,as well as hunter and wagner
*ernie cefalu is designing the cover again
*possible track titles include "I am made from you","something to remember me by" and "runaway train"
* alice has said the titles will have melodies that will re-appear up from track to track to string them together
*some of the album is being mixed currently in nashville

that's all I got!

There was a box set that was in the works for some time that focused on the first 16 albums under Warner Brothers, but that was slowed down due to record company politics apparently and have heard virtually nothing about since Brian's passing.

Desmond Child also mentioned that he was writing for the new album apparently.

*possible track titles include "I am made from you","something to remember me by" and "runaway train"
Didn't you also mention in the other thread that a song called "Hell is Coming Home" or something?

Regarding the box set, Ernie Cefelu posted it as a reply to me on Facebook after I wished him a happy birthday:

"The... other thing that I was thinking about as I found myself slipping away on "Grand Daddy's Magic Carpet Ride" again, how cool it was that I was working on an Alice Cooper box set that will be my 210 album cover, my 10th album cover for Alice and I got the assignment in 2010.

"Now if that wasn't weird enough, check this: in 2011, I will be doing my 211 album cover, a "Welcome To My Nightmare" sequel and my 11th cover for Alice, now that's what I call a numerologists 'wet dream'"

He had mentioned several times about the 210th album cover in 2010, but I always thought he was referring to the Nightmare sequel.

That's actually very interesting. He's definitely a great choice (and he only has his career to back that up.)

I agree. I was just really surprised to hear about it.

The latter is not confirmed, as far as I know, except perhaps in a song - writing capacity.

I saw a picture in studio of bob ezrin and steve hunter working together. steve appeared to be reading from sheet music. It was on FB-alice's or steve's. I'll check it. There was also a cool pic of alice and sheryl waiting for bob with a younger collaborator whose name escapes me right now.

And WYM-OOOPS! alice did mention a title called "hell is coming home" I believe on the radio......and you were also spot on about desmond working with alice again. Also forgot that!

There was also where Jani Lane said he was working on songs for the album.

I hope the album is out around spring..That would be amazing because alice may put on an album new tour or at least change the theater of death setlist.
But i think it's a little bit difficult ...probably the album release will be this automn..

I think that is more likely.

A Halloween release would be perfect for Nightmare 2

As noted above, that was mentioned as a distinct possibility during the Pudding weekend.

So if W2MN comes out in the fall, do you think the tour will start before the album comes out or will he wait until after the album's release?

He's done that before where he began touring for albums that haven't even come out yet...or surely he won't continue the Theatre of Death again until then?
