I am very excited as well. There seems to a lot going on surrounding this album. There will be a lot of interesting trivia about this album when it's released. Return of the original group (minus Glen Buxton) for some songs, the return of the legendary producer Bob Ezrin and the album cover artist Ernie Cefalu.

Did Alice say way earlier that he was writing songs with Desmond Child and possibly doing something with Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter as well? I remember reading something like that. Can someone confirm this? Of course not all the material that Alice has written with various song writers will end up to Welcome to my nightmare 2.

The song titles on the last album were cool but kind of cliche. In the case of these two revealed song titles I can't immediately guess what these songs are about. It is cool to follow what songs will be on the final album and make guesses on what kind of lyrical themes album contains before listening to it. But how cool the song titles are doesn't matter if there is no great music on the actual songs. I strongly believe that on the musical department(and in the lyrical department even more surely) this album will deliver better than the last one.

But I have managed to keep my expectations in check in some degree. I will not expect it to be Alice Cooper's biggest masterpiece before before hearing a note from it.

Desmond Child announced this on his twitter feed.

I believe Wagner and Hunter were alluded to, if not outright mentioned at some point.

I can't get too excited about song titles because it's the music that matters.

I agree. It's OK to be excited, I think most of us are, but it's a good idea to keep expectations realistic too. I can't think of one artist that has delivered their magnum opus 30+ years into their career. I do think the potential is there for it to be an excellent Alice Cooper album, though, and by the sound of it, they're swinging for the fences.

And now the mystery guy's name is Tommy Henriksen!

According to WIKI (I know, the most factual source of info) he actually worked with Alice before but doing "tech work" and has apparently done work more on a small scale level in the industry.

Very cool. It would be cool if they document everything and we get a chance to see it at some point... either online or on a future DVD.

I'd love to see pics of Dennis, Michael and Neal in the studio w/ Alice and also Dick Wagner too.

According to http://www.worleygig.com/2010/10/origin ... olo-album/ it will take almost a year before the album will be released. That's sad.

but wouldn't you rather wait a year and the album be perfect than to rush it out?

I'm glad they are taking their time over it

The comments Alice has made recently about "Nightmare 2" are unprecedented. The "We pretty much told (told the record company)we think this is going to be a masterpiece" and "It'll be a big moment in my career".Those are big statements.not the trite statements from artists like "I think this is one of our best records", ect ect.

Big comments from a man who has had big moments in his career, and delivered his "magnum opus" be it BDB or Nightmare.I hope it lives up to this billing, gets all ther hype and ballyhoo that Alice deserves, and puts him back on the map ,so to speak. If it takes a year, sobeit, his last few cd's seem a tad rushed,so some extra time, and with the people his has on board, should translate into a half decent album.........................i hope

It is well overdue though isn't it? It has been talked about since the early 80's to my knowledge and tracks even written for it then!!! Why was this not the album to coincide with 'The Nightmare Returns' project as well - he would have come back with an even bigger bang then. I can see these new one being his 'legacy' to a degree, I doubt he will follow it.

That's because nothing was definite and plans can change. Not that much work was done on that project and then Alice met Kane Roberts and moved onto another project which itself was cancelled before working on "Constrictor".
