behind the curtain

Post by Mr. Skull » Fri Sep 03, 2010 3:30 pm

I was glad to read DD put an end to this legend in the Classicbands.com interview.
No. That's not true. I stood next to Glen every night. I don't know why people say that. We had nobody behind any curtain.

There is no "legend" in this instance, only a silly comment by the person who mentioned "the curtain".

Who cares? The presence of Mick Mashbir and Bob Dolin was announced before the tour even started. It was no secret. That's why there was no reason for there to be any reference to a "curtain" in the interview.

You can do what you like. Anyone who considers that particular sire to be a reputable source is very misguided.

Having read the wikipedia entry again it also says that the tour was anticipated to gross $20 million but only grossed $4million....sounds unlikely that $20m was ever projected seriously

We'd probably be more than aware of someone being behind the curtain by now after nearly 40 years.

the problem with wikipedia is as anyone can put stuff on it there are some really bad errors some of the time.
Sadly as it crops up in the top 6 of any google search people who don't know better tend to believe it.
Which is why I have removed the stuff that some idiot wrote about Glen and the stuff someone had wrote about the $20 million.
What people should remember and something I have added is that the tour did break the US box office record held by the Rolling Stones.

Alice Cooper was the biggest act on the planet in 73 and we don't need wikipedia to tell us that!

it seems to have worked after challenging their incorrect statement about Glen and the curtain and removing it it has stayed removed so far. The bozo was some clown called Rockgenre
