Schools out 1st pressing vinyl

Post by rockmeallnite » Sat Jun 05, 2010 2:25 pm

So im pretty sure I just picked up the 1st pressing on Schools out at a garage sale, please give me any info you can. The record itself has the green label on it, there are no song titles listed on the pack of the sleeve and the pink panties ARE included. Everything is in great condition considering. How much does this thing go for nowadays? thanks

A quarter of the way down this STUK link (Known Releases) has more information...

http://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/albums/a-so.php

You may want to check out ebay (or related online auction sites) to see what folks are asking for their own copies.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

It's sad how some people practically give stuff away without knowing it's true worth, good for you though. I've found some good beatles stuff at garage sales before!

Nice find.

eBay does flood the market and so lowers the price.

All depends what you think its worth and what you would be happy to accept for a sale.

Its a niche market - you just need to pick the right week to list when two people want to haggle over the same thing.

I have the UK original (panties included) - bought from W.H. Smiths way back in the 70's. Honestly, no way would I part with it, as it holds too many memories of my teenage years. I still spin the vinyl now and again.
IF YOU GET UP IN THE MORNING, ITS A GOOD DAY!

You'd have to explain " great condition considering " a bit better. Grading conditions
such as Mint, Mint-, Ex etc need to be used.
Does it come with the report card? I have seen it
in a store in excellent cond with card and panties
for $70. That was going back about 6 yrs though.

Was it still sealed, though? I've never been convinced the album came with this additional item - maybe with a few promotional copies. It was primarily part of the press - kit for the album, I think.

No it was not sealed. I remember being shocked to see the card inside.

That supports what I've always thought.
