With Ezrin producing I doubt (well hope) that that wont be the case.
Yeah since it's gonna be Welcome To My Nightmare 2 I doubt it will be anything like a Bon Jovi album

Hmmm... many country music artists there I see.

Just to put in my two cents about the recent developments with The Night Shift, Welcome To My Nightmare 2, Bob Ezrin, Desmond Child... I think it's great that there ARE developments but I'm holding back until I have something in my hand come release time. I'm excited as the next guy, but many things could change over time and I just want to keep expectations balanced and in check.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

Absolutely... the Welcome to my Nightmare 2 especially ... it's easy to get so eager that things *could* be misinterpreted. What Desmond Child refers to as WTMN2 could mean a continuation of the concept, but could just as equally be in reference to writing for an album as ambitious as WTMN was for it's day and not anything directly related to it's theme. Who knows.

Either way, there's some great minds behind this. That's enough to go along happily and have faith that this could be a great release.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned here but in a YouTube interview with Damon J, he refers to Piggy D having written with Alice. Whether this was for the Night Shift that's been put on hold/dropped or what, I don't know. But it's another name to add to the mix perhaps.

No. They are distributing it.

Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen.
Wonder who the record label is or is going to be?

I looked up Big Picture Group and they have alot of big names listed (copy and pasted) (Alice listed in the group) -

Are they big names? Only recognise two of them, and one is Alice! Haha
Okay, I'll take your word for it, you don't have to list who they all are. :bam:

I think both Bob and Desmond being involved is great news. I actually really like the work Desmond Child has done over the past 2 or 3 years.

I hope he's not trying to impress those vapid fools. They. Can go. To. Hell.

I think it's great enough that he's doing this for his own reasons. Let's just savor the anticipation, and let them move at their own pace.

I wonder who`s idea it was to bring Child in, Alice`s or Bobs.
I also wonder why this hasn`t been mentioned by either the Cooper or Ezrin camp before, and left to Child to mention it on his Twitter page.
Surely they weren`t trying to keep it quiet were they.

I must admit Cooper/Ezrin / Child doesn`t have the same ring to it as Cooper/Ezrin but i`m willing to keep my fingers crossed for a decent final result.
as long as we get a decent album it could be written by Chinnichap for all i care.

If it were just Desmond Child, I would be a bit worried, but Ezrin is a pretty strong personality and I think he's capable of separating the good from the bad and not afraid to do so either.

I'm wondering, have Ezrin and Child ever worked together with any other artists?

One thing to keep in mind is, it's never going to surpass the iconic status of the original album so anyone expecting that is likely kidding themselves. However, with these guys all working together it's a pretty good bet that we're going to get a very good album out of it. If contains some of that original WTMN magic, all the better.

It's exciting to see Alice working with guys of this caliber once again.

I'd hazard a guess that Child hasn't been mentioned because it's not guaranteed that the songs he writes with Coop/Ezrin will make it on the album, so for safety sake it hasn't been publicised (unlike the news of Ezrin's involvement). Bear in mind that Desmond didn't say if it was an albums worth of songs he's writing or contributing to the one that they think can become a strong single (again..just guessing). Just that how heavily he's involved hasn't been mentioned.

Incredibly exciting news of what could turn out, tho.

I must admit, this is exciting news on the Alice front, especially if it actually comes to friution! The fact that Ezrin will be involved in the capacity of producing & writing, could auger well for a decent album.I for one, have not been too enamoured with anything since Brutal Planet, which coincidently Ezrin was involved in.

Exactly. Depite the story being only a few days old, there has already been some assumptions, speculation, unrealistic expectations and incorrect information being spread. It's really not necessary.

This is something of an example of what I mean. The record business has changed since that happened.

I was very happy when i saw that BE should be working with Alice again. And that is of course based on the great work the two of them has done on the classic 70`s albums. I am equally dissapointed with DC. He is responsible for the worst change Alice have ever taken. The "Bon Jovi" Alice. This is so far from the gothic/pshycho Alice that I grew up to like in the seventies. Thrash is an album i never plays.
And it is not enough to call it WTMN 2 to make a good album. I hope he stays with The Night Shift.
Remember also what great contribution Dick Wagner was to the WTMN album. That said I look forward to the new album with or without DC. I hope without though.
It`s all in this luney tune....

Dangerous Tonight a great song was written by Alice and Desmond Child so let's not write off Child as a music writer

Well said Luney, Ezrin is more than capable of teasing out fashioning ideas into great songs and albums but we must not forget the contributions of Dick Wagner, Michael Bruce and the like for having the ideas in the first place. Cooper/Ezrin + X would be my preferred setup with Bob in charge of twiddling and developing the concept and final arrangements.

The notion of Alice working with Bob again has to be worth a go.

This is the kind of attitude I was referring to in my previous post.
