Tentative title for new album

Post by Dragonlady » Mon Mar 29, 2010 1:54 pm

Seems like we have a probable album name: "The Night Shift"

Very oddly when I did a search to see if this had been posted already I found this quote in the "worst album names thread"? Is Alice actually taking his cues from us or what! :rotfl:

In which case Zoogirl, you should be very thrilled

It sounds like a ton of fun to me. Night Shift is also the name of a hysterical film starring Michael Keaton and Henry Winkler.

I would much love to see a second part to ACAS. To sum up the very odd ending for us. I know that wasn't the best album for a majority of you. But I liked it. :alice:

Also the title of one of the best Siouxsie and the Banshees songs, with great guitar work by the way from John McGeoch.

A new release this summer and a new tour through the south this fall would make me a happy camper!!!

Hey, I can dream and know Coop likes fall golf down here. He did tell us last October he wanted to come back to the Golf Club of Georgia this year.

The Night Shift is neither here nor there, good nor bad... it'll be up to the music and delivery.

Just glad there's an album on route.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

I'm guessing that this is not coming out this year given his tour commitments, but somebody correct me if Alice has said otherwise.

I think a better title would be "The Grave Yard Shift." That's what most people who work the night shift call it. I imagine it won't be released this year or at least not in time for him to play some of it live this year. And as much as I love the Theater of Death tour and I realize he has to play certain classic songs, I would love to see a show that concentrated on new material with a nod to some of the classics.

Yeah, that would be a good name. 'The Night Shift', sounds A LOT like a novel, or a film. It is OBVIOUSLY going to be a themed album. Or maybe not. You know what the Coop is like with surprises.

It kinda a Novel (and a film) as Zoogirl suggested (referenced in the First post of this thread). It's a Stephen King title.

I`m just hoping he doesn`t rush making it, but gets the tour out of the way first and then concentrates on giving us something thats good quality as opposed to just another album to add to the collection.

Actually Night Shift is a short story collection, not a novel. The funny thing is that "Graveyard Shift" is one of the short stories in that book.

I can see the possibilities, though I get sort of a "Night Court" vibe from it when I try to picture the album cover.
