Shame they aren't bringing it to the UK :( That would be a show not to miss. Maybe they will do, Eventually.

Rob was just here (Ontario) a couple of month ago, so I can assume that's the reason an Ontario date wasn't announced.

Ah, well. I'm sure we'll see Alice sometime this year. Or maybe they will stop on by. Only time will tell.

EDIT: Hey, Alice is stopping by July. Sweet stuff.

I love the name for this tour... Gruesome Twosome... fantastic... and the website is cool too.

Even though we did discuss the differences in their core audience.... this cool name got me fantasizing about how cool it would be if they took this to another level show wise... kinda like the Elton John/Billy Joel tours... where they perform together to start the show and then each guy performs in the other guy's sets and then they end off the night doing a few tunes together.

They could start off the show together... do a few songs together... then Alice puts Rob in the guillotine kills him and then Alice does the rest of his set.

Then later during Robs set (or vice versa depending on who's opening) Alice joins him for some songsnot sure if Rob does any sort of theatrical stuff that Alice could be involved in as I haven't seen Rob's show in years.

Like Elton/Billy, this tour pairing could be revisited every now and then hitting different markets under that moniker.

Ahhh... maybe I'm dreaming... but it could be fun side thing to the normal Alice show.

Rob's style is essentially hard rock... there are other elcments at times.

"Hands of Death" is not indicative of the majority of Rob's style whatsoever if at all.

exactly. the term 'techno' does not describe rob's music at all. ridiculous.

Matt, maybe "techno" doesn't describe Rob's music, but according to Wiki, "industrial" does.....this is a hard hair to split considering the sampling and digital noodling going on in the music....but I know you knew that already, because you do your research. And you have to admit, Rob's music is a bit danceable, right?

Didn't want to make a new thread for this.....

Anyone have Alice's score from the Phoenix Open? Who was he partnered with? Serious question.

I love the title "Waste Management Phoenix Open"....was it sponsored by the Soprano Family?

As I said I haven't heard much of his music but there seems to be a lot of samples and a disco beat ala Techno.
I wouldn't describe him as hard rock like Bad Co, Zep etc

Maybe you are not into dancing Matt. Older people generally aren't. Would you admit it is more danceable for the youth of today than Alice's music?

Sorry I forget to tell you i did get the chance to listen
to some Rob Zombie since we last spoke. A friend gave me a cd comp with Dragula, Living Dead Girl on it. He siad that Rob often puts out a lot of remixes that are very
industrial, techno dance orientated. I believe a good example is Super Sexy which my friend describes as: Electronica, Groove meets Industrial metal.

I'd say both our labels for Rob are a little off but a bit accurate in and odd way.

Does anyone know anything about more dates in Canada, along with the ones that they have already announced, but maybe towards eastern Canada?

Matt said "not sure what else you need to know at this point?"....

No need of a question mark at the end of this sentence....a period will do just fine.
Example:
"not sure what else you need to know at this point."
"What part of DEAD don't you get?"
