Pat Boone
I'm sure that this is VERY old news to the vast majority who post here, but this morning I turned on to Alice's radio show on my way to work and heard his 'Cooper's Cover' for the day - Pat Boone singing 'No More Mr Nice Guy'.
How weird it was to hear THAT arrangement of the song! Never heard it before, and expect to never hear it again.
I googled it to find that it was done for the 'Shocker' OST, but I can't believe that I never even knew that it existed until today!

Re: Pat Boone
I must still have that photo of Alice and Pat somewhere on my hard drive. I loved the singles my dad had of Pat Boone, when I was a kid. But that one didn't stick once I grew up.

Re: Pat Boone
Pat Boone recorded an entire album of hard rock/metal songs titled "In A Metal Mood" iirc.
Was released in the mid-'90s. I have the CD. I listen to it at least once every 5 years whether I want to or not. "No More Mr. Nice Guy" is on it, along with all kinds of other cool songs.

Pretty sure it was Megadeth that covered No More Mr. Nice Guy for the "Shocker" soundtrack

Re: Pat Boone
Yep - you're all correct; I got mixed up, so shocked was I when listening to the track!
It was indeed for the Pat Boone album 'In A Metal Mood' and Megadeth did the cover for 'Shocker'.

Much as I like Megadeth, I can't stand their version of NMMNG!

Re: Pat Boone
I have heard only Enter sandman from Pat Boone's In a metal mood. It was an interesting and fun jazzy version of the Metallica song but I don't think I could listen to that kind of cover music often, maybe once a year. It was too much a novelty song.
