Pudding 2009-Line Up

Post by NotSoPerfect » Tue Oct 20, 2009 3:31 am

AlicePudding.com has started to list this year's talent line up. Thus far, it includes:

Dee Snider
Warrant
Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers
Gary Muledeer
Scott Macintyre (on American Idol last year, from Scottsdale, Arizona)

Also, I happened to search Twitter for "Alice Cooper" one day last week, and caught a tweet by the comedian Sinbad saying that he might be doing the Pudding this year. He has before, so it's not a stretch to think that he might again.

True story though...we were both in the paint aisle and it was very early on a Saturday or Sunday morning. She was like, "DEE GET OVER HERE NOW!" and he comes slinking up to her in his Twisted Sister "disguise"

Maybe get gets his aggression out on stage singing "we're not going to take it" as he thinks of her! Then he goes home and turns into a regular old henpecked husband. He seems very funny, I used to listen to him when he'd guest on the Howard Stern show. He comes across as a cool guy.

Yeah I'm sure he's an alright bloke or Alice wouldn't be hanging with him. It was just a bit surreal at 8 in the morning...

I've always thought that Twisted Sister was a very lucky band as I've never seen any talent or originality with that group...

Sometimes a few catchy tunes is all you need. I've heard Dee say on an interview when they play in concert they still dress up, even though they are a little older, and a little fatter, because that is what the crowd has come to see. He seems to know its over the top, but why fix what isn't broken? They are still riding on songs that came out 25+yrs ago (god, i am so old) and hey, if the crowd is happy to sing along then so be it!

NSP, is Dee playing on his own, or is Twisted Sister playing?

Ya know I couldn't tell ya. As of right now, I'd say just Dee, as that's all that alicepudding.com listed. I'd suspect if they were guaranteed the whole band, it would say Twisted Sister.

You could apply most of this to Alice as well. Apart from the fat part.

I know, I thought of that as soon as I hit the "submit" button! However, the Coop has released new material since the big 80's, not sure if Twisted Sister has recorded anything since then. If they have, it hasn't recieved much airplay.

OK, ok, I know the same can be said for AC....I'm in a vicious circle!

Here's a spade dig yourself deeper. LOL. Twisted Sister released a god awful Xmas album awhile back. I think it was " A Twisted Xmas " or something like that. It was even advertised on tv late at night.

A Twisted Christmas was okay... if you needed that metal break from too much Bing Crosby... but there's no such thing as too much Bing.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

you are contradicting yourself. You say that some might need a break from Bing and then
say there's no such thing as too much Bing. Therefore taking a break from Bing would be illogical as you just can't have enough Bing.

Appears Tom Arnold is out as MC and Brad Perry (local news guy) is back in (he's done it the last 3 years). Also, Lita Ford has been added to the talent list.

AHHH, I wished I lived closer I want to go to a Pudding!!!!! They must be so fun, arghhhhh. Just not enough $$ in Dec. for a flight/hotel AND playing Santa :(

I've never heard the Twisted Christmas CD, that I can remember. If Dee plays by himself, do you know if he has any other stuff or does he play Twisted Sister songs?
