Glen Buxton Tributes

Post by steven_crayn » Mon Oct 19, 2009 12:10 pm

12 years ago on this date October 19th Glen sadly died.

Thought it would be nice if we paid our tributes in this thread, your memories and thoughts of his massive contribution to Alice Cooper as part of the greatest group for me and I'm sure many of you.

I'll be paying tribute with an acoustic version of 'Gutter Cat' tonight if anyone in the London area wants to come down to The Watermans Arms pub Richmond upon Thames, free admission bar til midnight open mic upstairs.
Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

A fantastic guitarist in his time, a real shame that drink and drugslimited his huge potential, very sadly missed.

Steven...wish i lived in the London area, would have loved to come down and have a listen and a pint, have a good one.

:/ Yep....12 years. Time really gets away from us.
The songs and music will always be with us along with your memory.
Rest In Peace , my friend. You are missed and loved.
And ...Steven I think its great that you devote a set to him. Thats very kind.

Glen had a very unique sound and was a larger than life character. That spaced out solo on " The Ballad Of Dwight Frye " is beyond stunning. RIP and condolensces to the Buxton family.

RIP Glen, hard to believe it's been 12 years already.

I'm going to put on Pretties For You and Easy Action tonight and turn the lights low.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

I remember the day a friend of mine told me glen died-it was like losing a friend, and I never met the guy..but I played air guitar to every one of his tracks! he was the epitome of the rock and roll rebel.God speed glen,we still miss you!
