Psychodrama or TOD tour?
I am just curious as to if there is anyone out there other than me that liked the "Psychodrama" show better than the "Theatre of Death show?
Also what was your favorite tour from 2000 to present?

I prefered TOD, but my all time favorite was Brutal Planet. Just took everything to another level.

Musicianship - TOD - Welcome back Damon!
Stage Show - TOD
Set List - Early 2005 when Sunset Babies was still being played. Still love the Montreux setlist.
I prefer the music driving the show rather than the show driving the music, but respect those who put higher priority on show.
As good as the current show is, I think there is a bit too much emphasis on the killings and not enough on the humor. I miss the humorous send ups at the end of previous tours whether it was Beverly Hills or the presidents.
That said, Coop still gives more rnr bang for the buck than anyone else around.
My 2 cents.

I thought Psycho Drama was more interactive so I would say that I preferred it (ever so slightly) to TOD.

Musically. I thought BP was Alice's heaviest recording and played out very well on the stage. It was nice to see that the man who made most of his fame in the 70's could still make a statement 25 to 30 years later, both in the studio and on the stage. My favorite song on the TOD tour was Wicked Young Man. On the BP tour he played BP, WYM, Sanctuary, Blow me a Kiss, It's the Little Things and a few others. IMO, those were some seriously heavy sonic songs, very sinister and dark.A_MichaelUK wrote:> Just took everything to another level.

Maybe so, but I don't think that's what TonyfromNH was asking.

I thought he asked if any liked the psychodrama better than TOD. I said TOD. He then asked what was your favorite tour from 2000 to the present. I said BP.A_MichaelUK wrote:>Musically. I thought BP was Alice's heaviest recording and played out very well on the stage.

You're right, but I thought he meant in relation to the theatrical aspects (as in his first question). If that's what he meant, then I don't think he's just referring to just the songs, as you are. That's why I asked you to explain your taking "everything to another level" comment and even if that's the only reason you prefer that show, I still don't see how it moved things along. It was a great show (and a great album) but it doesn't compare to some of the seventies shows in terms of originality or innovation.

Re: Psychodrama or TOD tour?
I should have been more specific, but yes, I was pretty much referring to the theatrical aspect of the show.
