Didn't see this listed on the main "news" front yet, but after doing a recent scan on various online store sites, I saw that the release date for Hoffman's remaster of Love It To Death is coming out sooner than expected. Release date is now set for December 8th of this year. That's right, less than a month away now! Another one to add to the Christmas lists.

This is due to be released on December 8th.

I ordered my 2 copies via Si's link on the front page... hopefully Si gets his percentage.

I doubt it. I'm pretty sure these are just the remaining CD's from Rhino Records "Encore" series of re-issues. They are they only ones (from the original Warner Brothers releases) that they haven't put out yet. None have been remastered, and are just straight re-issues.

Hopefully the other albums will be released soon as well after LITD.

I have a feeling Hoffman might do BDB's. I doubt we'll see anything after that. Maybe we'll get WTMN. I'm sure the two he's done so far have sold well and see no reason why LITD wouldn't continue the trend.

I'd be surprised at yet another BDB remaster/re-mix/re-whatever, it's been done twice and a great job too! Same thing for WTMN.

One title I specifically would like to see get some sort of special treatment (because I wouldn't mind anything up to Da Da) is Lace & Whiskey. I never liked the sound of that one. I realize it's entirely unlikely as it is a relatively poor album and has very little commercial potential, just sayin',

I wasn't aware that it has been done twice. The Rhino two disc is seen by many as being too loud/bright. What is the other re-master?

I think he may be referring to the DVD Audio versions. If you were to count those (of B$B and WTMN), then that would be two times each has been re-mixed/re-mastered since their initial CD releases. Wish I could pick those up relatively cheap. Still kicking myself that I never picked them up when they were readily available, and now I keep getting outbid on them on E-bay.

I wouldn't mind getting ALL of the Warner Brothers catalog re-mastered - but I doubt it'll happen, too. We can always dream, though.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. B$B Deluxe and the DVD Audio and the Expanded cd for WTMN and the DVD Audio.

I really like the job Rhino did for B$B, my hope was something similiar for the all the albums PFY-WTMN.

I have both the Deluxe Edition and the DVD Audio issue of BDB and I would like to see the other IMO classic ACG albums (LITD - MOL) also released as Deluxe Editions but I'm not sure about the chances for that.

People have started receiving their copies directly from Audio Fidelity and the reviews look good so far:

Unfortunately, not me. :( Hopefully mine will arrive on Monday, since it didn't come today or yesterday like it seems almost everyone else who ordered it direct, did.

I joined the AF site but the LITD order button seems to have disappeared. Odd...

I usually wait and pick them up on Amazon but I'm a bit obsessed at the moment so I thought I'd bang an order in to get it sooner.

That'll teach me!

On January 12, 2009, Collectors' Choice will put three oft-overlooked albums in Alice's catalog -- Special Forces, Zipper Catches Skin and Dada -- back in print.
Catalog of Cool author, Luxuria Music DJ and musicologist Gene Sculatti wrote the new liner notes for the reissues.

Special Forces: Cooper's 15th album, released in 1981, alludes to the artist's guns-and- ammo fixation at the time. Finally, the album contains a bonus track, “Look at You Over There, Ripping the Sawdust from My Teddybear," not included on the original vinyl configuration.

* Zipper Catches Skin:
The reissue contains the bonus track “For Britain Only," which first appeared on the Rhino Records anthology The Life & Crimes of Alice Cooper.

Obviously this is a US press release.

Sounds good though. Count me in!
