With english not being my mother language this sometimes happens to me when I hear a new song. I remember at Teenage Lament '74 instead of 'Is this the coolest way to get through your teens' I heared 'Is this the coolest way to get through your jeans' so at first I thought the song had quite a different meaning ...

When I was very young, when I listened to Desperado, I had always thought that there were 2 characters in the song. The calm cool and collected "I wear black leather" and the a maniac gun fighter "Tell me where the hell I'm going"

2 gunfighters talking trash to each other before the showdown.

Not really any misheard lyrics I guess, just a misinterpertation, I still think that is an interesting concept despite being wrong.

For the longest time I thought it was,

"And I glow red hot when I'm in a bad mood."

instead of

"And I glow red hot when I'm in bed with you."

Fit with most of the sounds, as well as making sense in the song, there. (Heck, I even put it as my signature on NWAC forum for a while...and no one said anything! )

Yeah, I think it's referring to bubbles, and is likely a bottle of champagne.
