Re: Suck Movie - another video
Thanks for posting the link; I hadn't seen that one yet. Great video!
Anyone know when and/or where it's going to be released? I've only seen info for the TIFF.

Re: Suck Movie - another video
The film is first being released at the Toronto Film Festival. However it is not unusual for some "artsy" type films to first be released at a film festival like the Toronto one or Cannes, for example, before there is a general release later on. I know some of you are concerned that you won't be able to see this movie, but I don't think you necessarily need be. Many films released at the Toronto or Cannes film festivals do get released in other cities/countries afterwards.Diane wrote:

You'd think for a movie with Alice, Iggy, & Rollins thay would have some better music. But I'm definately still psyched to see it.

Can't say I am too convinced by these vampires. But Alice and Iggy look great! Ah well I've even watched "Wayne's World" in French just to see Alice, I guess I can survive that one too. But I really won't go see it in cinemas if it's dubbed in French.
I am a bit weird, I never go see dubbed movies I just can't enjoy it, and since we never get original versions here...

Re: Suck Movie - another video
TIFF = Toronto International Film Festival. Sorry, I should have typed it out. It's the only place I've read of it showing so far. I was just wondering if anything further had been mentioned. There are still a few films from a few other film festivals that I've been waiting for to be released (theaters or dvd, doesn't matter), but it doesn't seem as if they're going to be. Unless it takes a few years to reach other countries/cities? I honestly don't know enough about the distribution. I was just hoping someone had heard something about this one. Thanks for the info! I hope you're right and this is one they do release.glamprincess wrote:The film is first being released at the Toronto Film Festival. Perhaps this was stated elsewhere, but does anyone know how big a role Alice has in this?

Doesn't sound like a lot of time was spent on filming it, for whatever that is worth.Perhaps this was stated elsewhere, but does anyone know how big a role Alice has in this?

I do recall reading somewhere that it's supposed to be a comedy. I say "supposed" because I've not seen enough of it yet to know if that's accurate.

I'd say the same. The first trailer had that scene where the girl is leaning over the young man with a "straw" in his jugular and she goes "it's not what it looks like?" doesn't sound like a very "serious" movie to me

From the films website: "Joey (Rob Stefaniuk), the lead singer, is haunted by an eerie bartender (Alice Cooper), who turns out to be much more."RemarkablyInsincere wrote:Perhaps this was stated elsewhere, but does anyone know how big a role Alice has in this?
This does of course not say anything about how big the part is but perhaps that it's important?
On the films official website it's described as "A rock’n’roll vampire spoof about a down and out band, The Winners, who will do anything for a record deal." So yes, it's a comedy.sparkinthedark wrote:I do recall reading somewhere that it's supposed to be a comedy. I say "supposed" because I've not seen enough of it yet to know if that's accurate.
According to the website (again) the soundtrack icludes Iggy Pop's, "TV Eye" and "Success"; Alice Cooper's, "I am a Spider"; Lou Reed’s Velvet Underground's "Sweet Nuthin"; David Bowie's, "Here Comes the Night" and The Rolling Stones, "Sympathy for the Devil".CountryMetalPunk wrote:You'd think for a movie with Alice, Iggy, & Rollins thay would have some better music. Re: Suck Movie - another video
I've got tickets to see Suck at the Toronto Film Festival. So I will let you all know how the movie went and how significant Alice's role is in the movie. Looking forward to seeing Alice sink his teeth (pun intended) into it....
