I only ever managed to sit through Monster Dog once, it's appalling! I didn't particularly like the tunes in it either although 'See Me In The Mirror' is kinda catchy.

As for live DVD's, i actually thought the Montreux show was fantastic. Brutally Live could have been great had Alice's vocals been a little better, i think he was having an off-night, where as they are as good as ever on the Montreux DVD. Same goes for Trashes The World and Nightmare Returns, his vocals sound a little pained to me. Great shows though.

Yes, of course. In fact, the voice sounds totally opposite to Alice's voice: it sounds like some truck driver or something. When I said I liked Alice's acting performance, I meant his facial expressions.

I read some time ago something about a new dvd in 2009... still no news, guess SPV was wrong or I don't know....

One of two things have happened...
1.) The show hasn't been filmed yet or finalized.
2.) Plans changed.

I want to make note of #2 because SPV apparently is going under some transitional stuff lately, I think maybe scaling back or restructuring their company at the moment. Also, apparently Alice isn't even listed as an artist on SPV's site anymore (but he still is on SPV-USA's myspace, so who knows.

alice describes it as a brooklyn cab driver's voice.

I think he said "Chicago truck driver", but that was a reported quote, I believe.

I agree with Glam; Alice made the best of a pretty bad thing. I do think it is fair to say though that Alice likes bad horror films and was probably perfectly aware of how it would turn out!???

BTW, why did they dub Cooper's voice??

True, but there is Abu Dhabi United group trying to do that with certain football club in the UK - sorry unrelated I know.

Supposedly the movie was going to only be shown in the Phillipines. So they had someone replace Alice's voice with a voice that was in a foreign language. Then when they decided to release the movie on video in the US, they needed to revert back to English but Alice's voice had been erased when it was replaced by the foreign voice. So they had to then dub in another voice in English.

Actually, I mostly enjoy 'The Ultimate Clip Collection' and would look forward perhaps to a further release of this kind including the ACAS clips, Gimme, It's the little things and maybe a bit of live stuff - but all in one place?

Shock rock legend Alice Cooper has announced that he will be filming one of the shows on his "Theatre Of Death" tour this year to release as a live DVD in 2010. More details will be revealed about the DVD shortly.

Montreux for me. The sheer energy which comes across is amazing. I don't have all the other DVD's, but do have Prime Cuts, WTMN & Bruitally Live.
