might be true, however, you don't want too big of an act otherwise it will seem like a co-headlining tour. i know buckcherry has a very large fan base.

All signs point to their album being a Walmart exclusive.. although no official announcement has been made as of yet. It will be interesting to see the impact of the world's biggest retailer on this album/tour cycle.

KISS could also go the route of Journey by packaging the new album with a second disc of re-recorded greatest hits. They already have those in the can and released them solely in Japan last year. Foreigner is doing something similar with Walmart for their new release, so if I was a betting man, I'd bet it's a near certainty KISS will do the same.

KISS has played numerous casino's over the past years, but many casino's have 3 "rooms" or more. IE: Alice will play the casino theatre and KISS would for example play Mohegan Sun's arena.
While Kiss may be drawing bigger crowds in the US than Alice does, I do think Remarkably Insincere knows what he is talking about. He knows a lot about Kiss and he tends to be a reliable source.
Thanks.

I *think* KISS played the Mohegan Sun Arena on one of their last major US tours in 03/04... however, since then they've played a handful of smaller casino venues also, but with big ticket prices of $250-$300 for the primo seats.

A lot of times they'll play an outdoor type setup at a casino such as they did at Sault Ste. Marie about 2-3 weeks before Alice a few summers ago. KISS played to nearly 10,000 on an outside stage in one of the parking lots, while Alice played inside in the theatre.

I saw Alice there and it was fantastic... and it was a very cool casino too.

I've enjoyed the vast majority of casino shows I've seen... usually one of the best places to see Alice.

The popularity (or lack thereof) is a direct result of what the music industry has evolved into. Sad! Alice in the U.S. is basically "underground" now. You have to respect that he keeps recording and touring and honestly, the music for the last 4-5 albums has been solid! Unfortunately no one hears it but us Alice aficionados. :alice:

Its true. I hate it...but for some reason Alice is not visible in the main stream here. :p

And I'm sure it's been addressed in this forum thoroughly, but how about him not being in the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame? Blondie is in though...what a joke! It's so obvious he should be in it's ridiculous. :alice:

That is why I will never step foot in that place. I've had people tell me how great it is and that Coop's Billion Dollar Babies boots are there but without a real induction I'm staying the hell away from there.

A recent conversation with my nephew and his 20 something buddies kept me quite entertained. Seems some of them think of Alice as a joke. One said he seemed like more of a magician than anything else. I LMAO to that. I told them to go see a real rock show because it is the best one out there. They were too excited about their Shinedown tickets to even care.

Don't get me started.

And I'd take a magician with forty years worth of entertaining young and old... and young all over again over a band (Shinedown and a thousand others just like them) who probably won't be here in a few years.

The more disposable music I meet, the more I like my dog.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

what is shinedown? sounds like something used on upholstery! I live in cleveland, and am among those jaded AC fans boycotting the place till our man gets in.the HOF is really cool, and it's got some coop content, but I can't respect the fact he's not "in".I need to see that signature up on the top floor! I did find a copy of the "muscle of love" cd in the record shop there, though!
now,if you like the doors,the beatles,U2,and springsteen,you'll want a full day there.

I went on a date with a girl the other night. We ended up back at her place and she was making me go through her music on her iTunes (she's a music nut). I brought up Alice and told her that she should give him a shot. She laughed and said "I'm not listening to Alice Cooper, thanks." I persuaded her to give him one chance. I played her Halo of Flies. She was impressed. She wasn't blown away, but she said she had no idea Alice was capable of that. I lent her my copies of Killer and Love it to Death, so hopefully I can make a casual fan out of her.

I had an argument over Alice vs. KISS with my friends yesterday. Of course they all argue for KISS. But they are all going to see Alice with my at Foxwoods, so we'll see what they have to say then.

I was driving home from New Hampshire with my music snob friend, and I made him listen to Killer all the way through. He loved it, but insists that every other Alice song I've played for him is nowhere near as good.

This is an uphill battle, but we shall fight it to the end.

Kiss over Alice? Aside from a great stage show, Kiss' music is primitive at best! Musically, Alice blows them away (music and lyrics)! Regarding the Hall of Fame, I was at an interactive session with Alice in Toronto at the Festival of Fear a couple years ago and he said: "I must have stepped on someone's puppy". He also said if he gets in, he's going to have Pete Rose introduce him. What a great sense of humour A.C. has! :alice:
