new kiss album this fall-uh oh

Post by scotty » Thu Feb 19, 2009 11:57 am

just read this(kissonline.com).as a kiss fan,I'm excited, but as a bigger coop fan I'm now wondering how many dates the ACAS tour will be without eric as it appears to be coming out this fall (not to mention a kiss tour,I'm sure)-this will probably take all if not most of the summer depending on how quick those guys work...calling tommy, brent,or jimmy I'd imagine.
maybe those guys will just use anton fig again, and say it was eric singer (like they duped many fans into thinking they were getting peter criss on such albums as dynasty, unmasked, and psycho circus) :nono:

Moved this over to off topic cos it's not AC related.

that's ok my friend.I could have gone with a much better title actually,I can see why you'd move it initially! just got done with a you tube video where eric says he hasn't even heard this yet,and to check kissonline.com because that is the most factual site on kiss,BUT-that is where my story came from mr. singer!!!!! hope he makes at least a few appearances if that comes to fruition.

Could be some scheduling conflicts for Eric. Looks like Alice needs a new guitar player and maybe a drummer.

Gene Simmons said recently that they are going to record it in multiple short sessions in the studio, doing a few songs at a time rather than spending lots of time locked away in a studio.

Someone posted online that they've been demoing with a different drummer since Eric has so many other obligations. Not sure if that's true though.

It also doesn't look like KISS is planning a huge tour this year... they are doing sporadic dates, however.

Who knows, maybe they could write one lyrically and musically sophisticated piece one day? Maybe they could one day explain what the hell is thetarical about a mask and a few flash bombs to a poor man's Slade music??????

Slade was cool, and still is, on this clip you see Don Powell playing while a roadie is adjusting his chemical toilet ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fiD5Cy2fdg&NR=1

I always looked upon ` Music From The Elder ` as just that.

Last I knew, sounded like Jimm DeGrasso might be around for part of the coming Alice dates....whenever they are.

Why should they?

Brent Fitz was a decent drummer with Econoline Crush when they opened for Alice in Canada last fall. Along with the fact he played with Alice "Down Under" in the Summer of '07, he's an great energy guy.

Just putting in my two cents while we wait to see what happens.

I agree. I like Brent! Personally, I've only seen Eric, Brent, and Jimmy, and they've all been great. If it's someone new, can't wait to see them. And if it's any of these three guys, I'll be happy.

In Lethbridge after the show he was mentioning how fortunate and cool it was to have played for Alice and how he felt welcomed by everyone. From what he was saying it sounded like he had a blast!

I think he's also from Winnipeg, Manitoba. :teach:

Another good ol' Canadian boy. ;)

Brent Fitz is an excellent drummer... he's great on the UNION discs and I saw him live then and he was excellent.

Oddly enough, I saw Econoline Crush when they opened for KISS in Buffalo.

What? Sophisticated? Ha ha! Anyway, I think you will find that anything that glorified party band wrote that required a mind older than 6 was HEAVILY influenced by a certain Mr Robert Ezrin. I think Bob is VERY modest when it comes to songwriting credits, even ACG might tell you this! ;)

Why should they?
Maybe to justify their popular status? Nah, on second thoughts; Kylie, Spice Girls, Steps etc etc never had to. There is a big market for children and/or childish minds and since when has popular music success often reflected musical ability!?!

Because if you use a term, make it the correct term eh?? OR, do you say 'drama' when you mean sport??

Maybe some are, I mean those idiots have never credited Alice. They always sight 'New York Dolls' etc but can't bring themselves to mention Cooper. I'm glad Cooper's management sude their asses for re-writing 18, about time!!!!!!

False. They have done several times, although admittedly not as often as they could.

>I'm glad Cooper's management sude their asses for re-writing 18, about time!!!!!!

It had nothing to do with “Cooper’s management”.

They wouldn`t be the first band to be HEAVILY influenced by Bob Ezrin would they ?
