"I would think a demo must exist for that."
One would think so, but it hasn't surfaced.

"Locked Up Lullaby (which I have never heard)."
It isn't a great song.

Truth be told neither is All Strapped Up though it has importance as it was deemed important enough to be in the show. Not sure if Taupin was an archivist but it would make sense that he would have had demos at some point.

That may be true but the difference there, is that it had a specially made film to go with it (or, more likely, the song was written to go with the film).

I know it's a stupid and redundant remark, but I'd love to see that film. The one that's shown in SDAC, right? With him running in the yard?A_MichaelUK wrote:That may be true but the difference there, is that it had a specially made film to go with it (or, more likely, the song was written to go with the film).

Thank you. I did find on line but felt the need to double check. No idea what happened to my copy.

Re: Deluxe Editions
No back peddling whatsoever, in fact I am incredibly consistent. My list of requests for deluxe Versions can easily be transferred to the contents of the Old School set. My initial post in this thread pre-dates the Old School set and so where the few times the actual contents of Old School matches my list I commended the Old School set, where it falls short, I state that too.

From Toronto Bob:
"No back peddling whatsoever,"
You really do love those portable goal - posts but I'll play along - the back - pedalling refers to the way you conveniently forgot your post from 2011 until reminded of it. It is all there in the other thread.
>where the few times the actual contents of Old School matches my list I commended the Old School set, where it falls short, I state that too.
That isn't being denied so you can leave that red herring where it is.

How about adding to the thread instead of attempting to derail it?

Read carefully what Toronto Bob wrote - it was he who moved the discussion to here from where it originally was.
