The Sharpest Pain

Post by Darren » Sun Nov 30, 2008 6:27 pm

I remember reading some posts where some people have not heard The Sharpest Pain Bonus from DD. I didn't hear it before I found this so I just thought I'd share it.

Its a very 70s sounding tune I think.

I dig the track. I just wish I could buy a lossless copy of it without rebuying the album. Either way, the import version containing the Sharpest Pain seems to be extinct. All versions on Amazon are the Stand versions.

I thought the import versionwas listed as having stand and no sharpest pain, but when you played the cd you found sharpest pain or something like that

I would have liked to have seen the track on the album in its own right, rather than a bonus on the Australian version of the album, as I think it is better than a lot of the songs on Dirty Diamonds.

Well worth purchasing from iTunes

Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

There was some confusion with Amazon at one time selling an import and advertising that it had The Sharpest Pain when it didn't - I think a few people got burned by it (me included). I ended up wth a few copies of the CD before I got the one with the track on!

Does anyone know where I can obtain this track from either in MP3 format or on an import version of DD?

I'd welcome any PM's with information :)

Thanks Andy, are you aware if this is still the case or was it limited edition?

Thanks

Hmmm, doesn't look like it based on Amazon in Oz.

My brother lives in Sydney so I'll ask him to have a look around for me. It's a shame such a good track wasn't shared with a wider fan base...

I do note though that this very sites states the following...

"Includes 'The Sharpest Pain' and 'Stand' although 'The Sharpest Pain' is NOT listed on the cover"

Annoyingly, I can't listen to it on youtube anymore. I'm gonna try and buy it asap.
Love the track. Imo, it's much better than many of the tracks that ended up on DD.

Excellent tune and I also agree it is better than some of the stuff on DD.
