Special Forces would be on the list but it is weaker then Flush the Fashion even though it is my fave.

If we can have more then two underrated albums then Special Forces would be on there.

like this stream..most overrated- DADA

most underrated-theres a few IMO- ACGTH is I think well thought, underated but maybe I dont feel some of it is Alice material. From the inside. Flush. Last Temptation definitely and ACAS in some quarters.

Doing this exercise has given me a feeling that if Alice had combined some of WELCOME with HELL would have been cracker of an album with a bit of editing...could even have lifted ITS HOT TONIGHT re hell/nightmare connotations..I think Welcome on its own is a little overrated.

Sometimes I think it would be good for Alice to go back and cherry pick bits of his albums and put together soem new material to create bigger/more complete story on cd. Maybe he will do this on tour with Nightmare/ACAS...

I think Muscle Of Love is so underrated. There were some fabulous songs on that album.I like Trash and feel it gets a lot of unfair criticism. It sounded great at that time.Although I like Dragontown I find it is slightly overrated.A few ordinary songs on that one i.m.o.

Good thread - for me (at least, at this moment in time!) most overrated would be School's Out and underrated would be The Last Temptation.

Overrated: Dirty Diamonds, The Last Temptation

Underrated: Trash, some opinions about this album here are utterly laughable. Trash is possibly the album that cemented Alice as a mainstay legendary artist when he could have faded away back in 1983.

It was a stellar album for it's time AND it brought in new fans for him. Yeah, you haters had better recognize. :nono:

Overrated: by the general public WTMN - great album, to be sure, but doesn't rank in my top 5 / by this board Dada - decent, but not sure why there are such strong admirers here
Underrated: by the general public TLT - classic Cooper, although many would fit in this category / on this board School's Out - what a great diversity of styles, although way too short, really is the White Album of Alice Cooper, on many days it is my all-time fav

My choices go against what others have said:

Underrated albums: School's Out and Trash.
I cannot understand why some people don't care that much for School's Out. I think it is a fantastic album with some of Alice Cooper's best songs ever: I don't think I even have to explain what a masterpiece the title song is. Public Animal #9 is one of my all-time faves and ties in perfectly with Alice's image as one of rock's bad boys. And there are other great songs like My Stars, Blue Turk and Gutter Cats. I think School's Out gets underrated because it falls between Killer and BDB, but it is a great album nonetheless.
As for Trash, a previous thread showed that it is mainly male fans who dislike Trash. I think Trash gets a bad rap when it has catchy, sexy tunes that gave Alice much more appeal with females. What's wrong with that?

Overrated album: From the Inside. When this album came out, I liked it a lot better then than I did in later years. For some reason, this album has not aged well for me. I still love Nurse Rozetta but some of the other tracks don't excite me as much as they used to. There are some die-hards who rate this album one of Alice's all-time best. It's a good album but I don't think it's one of his all-time best.

I agree with Glamprincess on the Under rated albums, School's out and Trash

Over rated; From the inside, can't listen to it, all I can hear is Elton John.

Cooper albums that deserve more credit in my opinion are also 'Hey Stoopid', 'Brutal Planet', 'Goes To Hell' and 'From the Inside'. It took years for FTI to be rated as a classic Cooper album, I feel that Dada and Brutal Planet will be the same.
