Alice's teeth
Just curious if Cooper was wearing falsies during the early 80s, or are they his real teeth prior to getting fixed. I suppose it may have been part of his whole bizarre Special Forces-Clones look?

Alice’s teeth very in desperate despair after his binge of the early eighties. We all know of at least one falling/breaking/pulled out during Special Forces and the rest didn't look to solid either.
He probably got veneers or maybe the whole set replaced at some point. I think there was a topic about this sometime ago.

Alice's teeth today are a completely different shape, size and colour to those he had in the early to late 70's (and before of course). I saw one interview (Portrait of a Legend 1981 - which is now on youtube somewhere), where half of his teeth were missing, the rest looked bad and it appeared that major surgeory was about to take place. Since then he has had some pretty false looking thingies, but his latest set are pretty good. Basically folks, they're false! Unless, he's had the front six or so capped and the rest replaced.

Not that I want to continue this fascinating discussion about someone's teeth, but as with one of your earlier posts, you are exaggerating. It may be true to say that his teeth were in "bad" condition, but it's not true to say that "half of his teeth were missing" in this particular footage.

>Well, half his top teeth are missing
You don’t know that for a fact, though. You see a few teeth missing from his upper jaw – that’s not “half” as you claimed. You can‘t see the ALL of his teeth in either jaw in that footage.
>Well, half his top teeth are missing and the bottom ones are in bad shape.
But that’s not what you said before! I already agreed with you about them being in “bad shape”, but that’s not the same as him not having “half his top teeth”. You make him sound like he was Shane MacGowan or someone like that.
>Conclusion is that they are nearly all, or all false today.
You can’t ‘conclude’ that based on that one piece of footage. You don’t know anything about his “missing” teeth except for that clip and nothing in that clip shows that “half” were missing. I’ll concede that maybe they were, but the clip doesn’t show that.
>What was being exaggerated in an earlier post?
It was the post about how hard it was to find the “Loose Women” footage.

You may very well have seen it on this site.

Alice is very into dental hygiene after many years of self abuse. He flosses nightly with waxed (I had him using my favorite, dental tape -much thicker- for awhile but I think he reverted) and he even uses those threader things.

You should know this Andy, you were the original Alice Cooper authority when you used to send me your fantastic fanzines in 1984, and you have met him close up many times. I think only 4 from his top row can be still there (alot less than half) but seriously capped, and as for the bottom row? Well, I would say they are false to match. Serious dental surgery anyway and NO exaggeration:>Well, half his top teeth are missing
