Not the two albums needed for the ACG to cut their teeth on in order to make the greats like LITD, Killer... Bob Ezrin wouldn't have foundational stuff to draw from. My opinion only.
Bob is a genius though, 4 of my top 5 favourite albums of all time have all been produced by the legend that is Bob Ezrin.
Obviously the Alice albums from 1971-1975 are all awesome, but if you think he also produced Peter Gabriels first album and co produced Floyd's The Wall, the man is awesome.
He took the ACG and gave them direction, he saw what they had and gave it the magic touch.
As important to Alice as George Martin was to The Beatles
Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

Easy Action is actually a pretty cool album. It has "hints" of what's to come. It would be pretty fair to describe it simply as "Post-PFY/Pre-LITD" in terms of sound. Still has elements of Pretties, but also has some even cooler elements of what's to come.

Plus
Refrigerator Heaven and

Yes, it's a surprisingly good album from what I've heard of it.
Even from a collectors point of view it's definitely worth getting.

Been playing Beautiful Flyaway today from EA. I'm a big supporter of the use of piano when it comes to Alice's music (Some Folks, Crazy Little Child, Second Coming, Mary-Ann... for example). Gives it that broadway feel.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

Easy Action and Pretties For You are so out there. Really different than Love it to Death for sure.
I think it would be interesting to know what sort of direction the band was going before Bob Ezrin showed up. Would LTD have been a continuation of Easy Action??? Weren't they working on an 8 minute version of I'm Eighteen? Any thoughts anyone?

Had they stayed on Warner and had Bob not come in, probably the only direction they would have been going was in the bargain bin and out the door.

I agree, and a great vocal from Michael Bruce on Beautiful Flyaway, the Bass from Dennis on that is beautiful!

Easy Action was my first Cooper LP, Alice signed it in 86 on a comeback Record Store Signing.... "Mister & Misdemeanor" is definitely a precursor to "Love It To Death". "Shoe Salesman" is just a killer vocal, I always thought it was a song about Junk "Do you think those freckles will stay?". Excellent photos of the band......
Totally agree with the Alice-Piano-Broadway comment.

glad he didnt imo. the band needed to progress on their own at this period.
I agree. LITD and Killer and subsequent albums would have been different if Bob Ezrin had been there for the PFY and EA.
It would have been like in that movie "The Butterfly Effect", every time the guy went back and fixed or changed something, everything that followed changed as well, and not always for the better.
At the point when the band hooked up with Bob Ezrin, the timing was right. Hence, the success and impact of the true arrival of Alice Cooper!

Absolutely worth getting. A bunch of good songs here. Favorites : Return of the Spiders and Mr and Misdemeanor. Michael Bruce sings lead on Beautiful Flyaway.
Great cover too.
It`s all in this luney tune....

Agreed and written in stone ...
Anybody knows who "sings" the line ." You've got to rock it in your pocket" ?
Always wondered about that - it does not sound like Dennis,Mike or Neal
is it Glenn ? - sounds really childish - great !
... and the rest of them are all chicken !
