I thought it was a good album. Good variety on it. My favorites are "Woman Of Mass Destruction", "Zombie Dance" and "The Saga Of Jesse Jane", to name a few.

I mentioned this before, but Dirty Diamonds reminds me of Dada, in terms of song tempo and variety. And they're both DD... hmmmm.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...

Really? Seriously only one time? I think even an album I truly didn't like I'd give at least a 2nd try.

I love Alice Cooper, probably too much. And it is that love, respect and desire for him to succeed that fuels my tremendous disappointment if that makes any sense...

It does, and I'm not one who expects someone to listen to something over and over until they like it. But I'd say a 2nd shot is worthwhile.

I'm sure it has its moments and can grow on a listener with time but that's not what I want or expect from Alice. That being said I'll try it again in recognition of your sense of fair play and intelligence.

Right now, at this period in time... I would have to agree. Great placement on the album for the songs too.

I have tried and tried so hard to like it - but its awful. Pure Hell. Very painful to listen to.

I SOOOO hope the new stuff is better. ;)

I'm with you on this HB....(and eyes only slightly better) ;)

DD was a really fun album, probably not quite as consistent as EOAC but has some great tunes on it. Saga of Jessie Jane, Sunset Babies, Pretty Ballerina and Zombie Dance are fantastic.

The only tracks i really dislike are the title track and Steal That Car which are just a bit uninspired IMHO.

Having said that, i think pretty much every track off those 2 albums are way better than anything off ACAS which is still proving to be a massive disappointment for me.

I love Dirty Diamonds! I think it's one of Alice's best - I really like the variation in sounds on that album, and thre title track is geat - if oweing more than a slight nod to Paranoid for the riff

I thought Eyes was a great record - probably his best since Riase your Fist. There was one bad, sorry awful song - 'The Song that Did Not Rhyme'. The rest was back to basics garage rock which has always his best genre. I only really liked the title song from DD. There was too much diversity and just plain bad and laughable songs. The cover of the Left Banke's Pretty Ballerina was not as good as the original (I'm not a snob it just happened to be on a Psych compilation I bought years ago) and why on earth did he cover it anyway? DD lasted about a week before it went on Ebay.... :nono:
